Name Change applied to the wrong character

Hello,
This past Saturday I was attempting to name change a paladin on my account but for some reason the name change was instead applied to my main, an Evoker. I am 100% sure that I had the correct character selected but alas the wrong character was changed. At this time i’m currently being burdened by the 3 day character service cooldown. I had put in a ticket but was told by the automated system that nothing could be done.

Because it appears that a bug in the name change system is responsible for this I wanted to know if an actual person can take a look at this and reverse the name change (or at the very least remove the character service cooldown.)

The character involved is was called “Coliver-MoonGuard” but is know known as “Kaliape-MoonGuard”

You’ll want to put in a ticket, Coliver.

“Not listed here”

Purchase failure under payment will be better

You need to use “Problem with a Purchase”. Do that as a new ticket.

If you don’t, it gets put in the general queue and may not get a response for a long time. Purchase issues have their own queue which is what your issue is.

This sounds like the same bug that causes characters in “favorites” to be deleted when you have a different character selected.

did you get this resolve? because this just happened to me

1 the GM never told u do any such thing droping a f bomb is never a good thing.

Next time its better to start a new thread then necroing a thread from last year.

Did u try asking for a refund on the name change.

You’re right probably not the best approach, but it is extremely frustrating that i kept asking for help in the ticket and all i got is the same response, the name token was used so they can’t do anything about it.

A refund won’t help, because it won’t change back the character name that was changed erroneously. The GM confirmed that it is an issue on their system but they still can’t help. So I’m asking who can help? because having the user needing to spend more money to fix an issue on their end, sound predatory and doesn’t sit well with me.

Also you say last year even though it was 4 months ago, i figured i tried asking for help someone who navigated this issue rather than start a new thread and get answers or replies from people giving their input but not actually having experienced this situation.

Why its never good to necro.

  1. The Op isnt likely to come back.
  2. Information that was good then is likely outdated which is best to go by this ryhme.
  3. 1 to 2 weeks leve them be 3 or more nevermore especialy if its years old yes people will necro a thread 4 or 5yrs old.

And to point it out - the OP haven’t been seen by the forums in four months, even if they did, they seem won’t be able to help in a timely time frame.

I’m not seeing that in any of the correspondence from a GM.

This was an issue some time back - but I’ve not heard of it happening in a long time.

it would be the replied from the 3rd GM on my currently open ticket, not sure if you can see that.

Sorry, I see that one now.

I’m still not sure they were correct. That was what you were claiming, but I’m currently asking if this is still a thing. I haven’t seen this pop up in recent months.

I do see you have another ticket currently open, and it’s in the escalations queue.

Yes, i did re-open a ticket asking if they have limitations on what GMs can do, who could help me with the issue. I also opened another thread since i guess adding it to this one was the wrong approach based on community responses.

I deleted the other one, now this is here it’s fine. I’ll just lock it up.

Looks like you should have an email on this.
