Just got off the Dragonflight free trial, didn’t last long, yeah this voice acting just embodies everything I hate about new Blizzard, it’s like nails on chalkboard. It’s unbearable.
I wish the retail team all the best with their future adventures , they clearly have strong visions about where to take Warcraft.
EDIT: I won’t even dignify toxic and hateful comments here with a response. You know who you are and you’re very much part of the reason many people don’t like modern Warcraft.

I do play WOTLK off and on on WOW EU, it’s fine, bit a grind, and old, but it’s entertaining, sad to see what happend to Warcraft.
I don’t follow voice acting, but I did a level and a half on the free trial. Which character was she voicing?
Worst voicing of all time was Xe’ra in Legion. Talk about fingernails on a chalkboard, I couldn’t even do that quest chain.
And this is why I play WoW completely mute, my ears don’t take too kindly to 80% of the sounds this game makes 
There is nothing wrong with that voice actress’s work, at all.

It’s funny you mention that, this prevailing culture of defining almost any opinion you don’t agree with as somehow having malicious intent is in part probably why games like retail Warcraft is the way it is.
I think this is one of the dumbest reasons I’ve ever seen someone quit. Now if you mentioned Toddy, then you might have a point.

Yeah, the voice acting all around is pretty bad. Not sure I would quit over voice acting though but to each their own lol.
The worst is one of the teachers in the academy who sounds like a porno actress. lol “Ichiztrazabro! What are you doing!?”
Yeah that little gem is compounded by the awful truckstop novel-tier dialogue writing, which is also a major problem it seems. I’m sure it blows 13 year olds minds but judging by decreasing sales I doubt the majority of the playerbase is under 16, so no idea why they’re targeting such a young audience in their writing.
They’re both annoying.
I would love a murder mystery storyline where the Expedition members start turning up dead, one by one.
What about the voice acting set you off enough to quit? I can’t honestly say I pay any attention to it, most of the time it doesn’t even play for me because i have the volume set so low.
I made the mistake of paying attention to it, I guess, it’s just awful for a Blizzard title. Lots of little things make me go “Wait, Blizzard made this?” in this expansion.

You know what, they should start banning any and all criticism against retail, label it as malicious attacks, and ONLY have positive public facing discussions so Activision executives browsing the internet can be at ease, I see this attitude picking up a lot of speed on spaces like Reddit and Wowhead, happy days right up until everyone at the Warcraft team loses their jobs from lack of sales. Brilliant strategy.
Naleidea Riverglem voice acting made me uninstall Dragonflight……
The utterly ridiculousness of some of these threads never ceases to amaze me.
