Mythic + toxicity killing best social aspects of the game

I had a max ilvl Havoc DH BFA S4 from doing nothing but running a single +15 Freehold every week.

To accomplish this now you’ve got to do it with +10’s (which are 20’s after the level squish).

That’s a difference of 5 key levels (I’ll assume we won’t need to argue the technicality of the level squish making 10’s previous 20’s).

That’s increasing the difficulty of getting the same rewards. For that matter, you not only have to do higher content for the same reward, but you’ve also got to farm mats to upgrade the gear to its full potential.

Again, you’re arguing that 10s are the same as 20s but not acknowledging that 20s were the same as old 15s.

You don’t get to use one argument without the other. You’re getting hung up on the actual numbers and not looking at the actual demands of the keys.

BFA 15s = DF 20s = TWW 10s, meaning the difficulty hasn’t meaningfully changed (with the caveat that the vault cap keys this season were a little harder than the vault cap keys in late DF).

Lmao it wasnt max ilvl just from M+. Season 4 BfA is the season i am most familiar with as its the only season i made enough time to push CE. You needed raid gear for max ilvl, no if ands or buts.

I could have reached max ilvl then, but didnt due to poor luck. I am 1 639 boot away from max level now though which didnt even take significant luck nor heavy mythic raiding.

And lastly, current 10s are not previous 20s. Current 8-9s are.

I may have missed Blizzard announcing that scaling was changed to where a +15 in BFA is the same as a TWW +10. Was this published somewhere? (Obviously not in those words, but a mathematical explanation of how the tuning changed to make keys easier).

You’re welcome to look it up, the toon was Technology-Illidan, should still be logs out there showing what I was wearing when logs were made. I vividly recall nerding out that season and ‘getting as geared as I could.’

They have not officially compared BfA with TWW. But when the vault cap was moved to 20 in DF, it was indicated that it would be comparable to the previous vault cap. This is also how they played, generally speaking, with the understanding that each season’s slate of dungeons is different and the nothing is ever perfectly balanced with so many variables.

So if the BfA 15s were the same as the DF 20s, and the TWW 10s are roughly equivalent to the DF 20s, then it follows that TWW 10s are also roughly equal to BfA 15s.

I say roughly, because I do agree that the 10s this season were noticeably harder than the last couple DF seasons, but within the margin of error of normal difficulty fluctuations imo.

PLEASE just do the death counter instead of a timer. I think this would go a long way into reducing the stress of keys and let ramp-up or “can’t move and dps at the same time” classes actually play.

Season 4 BFA did not give max ilvl from m+.

It gave entry level mythic, which is quite different from max ilvl mythic.

And if a mere 3ilvl don’t matter, enjoy your max from crests.

Clearly it doesn’t. Me, nor you for that matter, do high enough content to need max ilvl. I finished KSH the first time this season at 618 ilvl.

But that has what to do with the bar for earning it being raised?

I have CE.

You’ll have to excuse me, I looked at your main like 2 months ago. Grats on CE just the same.

The toxicity comes from lack of class balance, as well as blizzard not returning to a BFA/legion dungeon design.

They don’t like seeing tanks pulling tons of groups at the same time, so they made groups of 4-5 mobs too hard for most players, or specs/comps.

Go back to a BFA or early legion dungeon design when keys were fun.

Ever since shadow lands M+ has just felt off.

Just got in with a bunch of suckers trying to blame me as a healer for the dungeon in a +4 when the best DPS we had was a 750k max DPS ret pally and we were running with a 400k DPS warlock. Fights taking longer than it should and people are dying left and right and blaming me for their mistakes in standing in bad and not doing enough dps to even clear the boss fast enough.

a) no. that’s the point of the challenge.
b) there are, you just dont pay attention.
c) pay attention and you can dodge everything with ample time.
d) no, that’s why gearing is called a “challenge” not an “easy.”
e) material benefits for typing at people instead of doing the challenge. no.
f) no. they’re called mythics, not casuals. again, see the word “challenge.”

I see your guildy is also lazy, healing wasn’t “fun” it was idiot proof and they took that way.

tl;dr: or you can get good.

Nobody even talks to each other in pugs. Where is this toxicity coming from?
