Tier is the exception to the rule, since we have at least one 424 razageth tier hats despite still being on broodkeeper.
I could go digging through patch notes/dev posts from the start of SL, but they said that you need to kill the boss on that difficulty or higher to unlock that bosses loot in your vault (heroic will unlock normal, but not the other way around)
That’s what I said back then. In a way its good because high end key pushers get rewarded more. But it really routs out the people playing with friends. To me, it doesn’t matter. I no longer play with the same group that I was in SL so it hardly matters much anymore. However, I have seen lots of examples of friends no longer being able to play together. They gotta choose between pushing higher keys to get gear or playing with less skilled friends.
It’s a win and a win. Better players are more rewarded, less good players have a higher peak to aspire to climb.
You need some better friends then. I help my friends/guildies with lower keys all the time for fun.
With uncapped valor soon, max vault being 20s (not even timed by the way) shouldn’t be a huge problem. 421 is mythic raid ilvl, so the equivalency is more balanced this way IMO.
