Mythic-Only Sarkareth Mount Customization

wasnt the skin being available for everyone an accident they decided not to go back on?

it’s called a bait and switch this was on the PTR for how long and they waited till literately last minute to make this change. #Boycott

Season 1 it dropped on all difficulties, hotfixing it not to drop on anything but mythic ONE DAY before the patch is ridiculous. May as well unsub now as the only reason I was going to raid AOTC Abberus was the mount.

I’m pretty sure they did the same with slime cat. But it was at least available through more difficulties. They just removed it from LFR. Things tend to change from PTR to live.

Actually all it does it make the well dry up more and more and more each time because that “niche” isn’t going to be there forever. Life happens. Times change. And people move on. Personally, I’m limited on Mythic Raiding myself. So I don’t know what flexing Mythic exactly would mean. But knowing the WoW community, I don’t really see anything good coming from that.

I think if you want to fix Mythic, they need to tone down the difficulty. The last time I did Mythic was in Legion/BFA and they absolute need for WeakAuras was just ridiculous. So many radars, arrows, debuffs on the screen that you needed to adhere to was just overwhelming. And they also need to have better recruitment tools so people can have an easier time finding Mythic teams that suit their schedule.

only time i see my dragonriding mount anymore is in nokhud and thats going bye bye so

Agree, Mythic Flex will cause that some groups bring 1 more or less player due to X mechanic and some balance issues, some other cores won’t do that kind of approach but that’s the issue with flex compared to a static size, that’s why Devs introduced Mythic like this and I think they didn’t do 20man for all difficulties because its too much players for raiding.

M+ is receiving massive changes this season and raid difficulties haven’t changed too much in 10+ years

All season 1 was lot of tuning to raiding and class because was in rush to get DF launch. How times I get on wowhead and see an article that blizzard had announced that there going be some class tuning in coming weeks? I feel season 1 was all like through the season.

Season 1 set a precedent for the raid customization (not actual mount) dropping from all difficulties. Why use the past as an excuse regress back to more elitist game design philosophy? Is the best gear in the game not enough of an incentive?

I raided in Season 1 solely for the chance at the Razzy skin. If they think pulling this move the day before the raid releases is going to boost metrics, they will see this having the opposite effect. Unless the actual goal is more WoW token sales for Mythic Sark boosts?

Personally I’m not sure what can be done with the raiding scene at this point with almost what
20 years of raiding in the game? I have ideas, but I believe they’d fall on deaf ears at this point. Not the people on the forums but in terms of tossing ideas to Blizzard.

Well that sucks balls

Guess I can safely ignore this. It’s not like it was a real mount anyway. I ignored the razegeth one too since it’s also not an actual mount. Well, that and it also looks stupid.

As somebody who clears CE every tier, I’d be more than happy to give up this mount skin if Mythic raid gear could actually be upgraded (it can’t).

i am shocked that they released a mythic only mount (basically) on the 2nd tier. what the hell!!!

I’m not so sure about that.

Raiders still have better, early access to tier sets. They get direct tier drops outside of the Vault as well as access to the Catalyst later.

Raids now also have rare drops with inflated item levels and special effects so that raid gear is still coveted, even with the increased ceiling for M+ rewards.

Non-raiders are getting more, but devs feel that they have to give raiders even more and more to keep them feeling validated by comparison.

Zereth Overseer (Mythic only, Jailer)
Vengeance (Mythic only, Sylvanas)
Nyalotha Alseer (Mythic only, Nzoth)
Glacial Tidestorm (Mythic only, Jaina)
Shackled Ur’zul (Mythic only, Argus)
Hellfire Infernal (Mythic only, Nighthold)
Ironhoof Destroy (Mythic only, Blackhand)
Felsteel Annhilator (Mythic only, HFC)

Hmmm

Convenient how you left out the dragonriding mount customization from the very most recent season, which would be the most suitable point of comparison.

You also left out recent examples such as mounts that dropped from all difficulties in Shadowlands.

huh? I would compare the skin from this raid to a aotc mount if anything?

Why would i draw comparisons of a mythic only obtainable item to a ugly skin that drops from all difficulties?

We already know that
however; there’s a massive drop of participation for Mythic compared to previous difficulties
the most recent mount or “skin” from the last raid was a reward for all difficulties.

Maybe adding the reward in a middle ground like Heroic could be a better solution.

Can you drop me some info of mythic participation? I’m genuinely interested as you seem to have something I’ve had trouble finding.

Maybe they just do two skins one for all difficulties and one for Mythic.
