Mythic-Only Sarkareth Mount Customization

this is a pretty bad decision and I am voicing my discontent by unsubbing, sure I still have a lot of time on my sub but the message will be there.

This was one of the main reason I was hype to ddo the raid more than once, just like for Rasz skin, I got AOTC then I kept running normals and heroics for awhile until I got the skin. It got me playing the raid more, even level various alts and tryout new specs in raiding.

Now I know I will never get the Kazarra skin because even though I am a competent player who could get a few Mythic boss kills, I have no time to dedicate to mythic raiding, the limitations and requirements are not for me, and I doubt they ever will be as I grow older and older.

Hope they change this, or learn from it. I truly don’t care that many people flew around in Rasz skin, I play for my own enjoyment, not to show off.

It’s not gonna disappear at the end of the expansion dude.

We can’t even farm BfA mythic raids yet and how long ago was that content current? I wouldn’t bother waiting and just chalk it up as forever out of reach.

You mean it will become a 1% drop that you can farm 2-3 expansions from now. Yeah at that point I really won’t care enough to do that. I used to farm 1% mounts but I don’t anymore. I’d rather get rewarded for the things I engage in-game that are up-to-date.

My point is that scenario won’t happen because it would rile up casuals who want to go in and roll the dice after the raid is irrelevant. So what Blizzard has to suffice with is that yes, it’s your guaranteed reward for clearing the raid. It is meant for the top end players to feel rewarded for their efforts. But to keep the casuals happy they still let them roll the dice, but nuke the drop chance

More importantly they pay Blizzard’s CEO the gold.

What is or is not available to someone as a 0.1% drop three expansions later is irrelevant to how 100% drop-rate mythic-only final boss mounts are distributed while the raid is current content. Obviously.

as long as it’s not too difficult!

At least you can get it later. Pvp sucks, but I grind out duelist because of the fomo enchants, lol.

My experience in game and on the forums tells me that the issue is not making rewards for the most difficult content, its that the most difficult content is too difficult.

Its a good thing to have content that requires having a consistent team to achieve. Guilds and structure are great for long term health of the game. But the combination of rigid group sizes and very high tuning makes the hurdle to great to clear for too many people who otherwise have the potential to clear the content.

Make Mythic raids have at least some flexibility in raid sizes.
Make Mythic raiding slightly easier. Maybe start it where you KNOW you’re going to end up nerfing it to in the last third of the season.

If they get participation up they can even add MORE mythic only rewards and it won’t hurt anyone.

I think this makes the assumption that nerfs to mythic are reactions to the raid being too hard. They’re not, they’re part of the natural progression of mythic to allow a larger section of players a sufficient challenge. They could go even further with that honestly, but I don’t see a reason to take challenging content away from people who currently play for and enjoy that challenge.

This is specifically why I was suggesting it. Why wait till the end of the season to attempt to get participation up?

Because they need to grow participation.

Anecdotal but if bliz made the next raid as hard on release as vault is now and announced that was the norm going forward my guild would probably quit. I know I would.

Thats not what she meant. For someone a pre nerf ras was sufficent challenge while a final nerf version of the fight is not (i personally consider final version rasz an absolute joke) The raid gets nerfed if a sufficient enough part of the playerbase has reached a certain point in the progression.

I’d love to Dragon Ride my Iron and Rusted proto drakes.

Mythic flex is never going to happen

End-tier mythic bosses aren’t even tuned that tightly by the time most CE players get to them. RWF and Hall of Fame raiders may have to deal with overtuned stuff, but these bosses are usually steadily nerfed over a raid’s life cycle (and/or receive a significant nerf as the tier comes to a close).

We killed Raszageth recently, and even our months-late guild had to sit there twiddling our thumbs for like 15 seconds in phase 1 so we didn’t push her too quickly and screw ourselves out of cd timings later in the fight.

Mythic raiding is only ‘difficult’ because of tight requirements and rigidity.

This is gaming, 0s and 1s, nothing is truly difficult in WoW.

They’ve had Mythic only mounts for years now. And we’ve had Heroic only mounts as well. There is nothing wrong with having an exclusive reward for clearing the highest difficulty.

hey, that gives me a great idea! maybe the hundreds of people in GD who would be world-first raiders if only they had a group of 20 people should form a raid group together. i look forward to seeing your progress!
