I’m OK with mythic only as long as its 100%.
Ugh, yes I know mythic player put their pants on one leg at a time just like anyone else. I wasn’t implying they were a bot.
But when you say you’re in a Cutting Edge guild and there’s nothing special about you, I read that as Pyri was saying they were carried. I was under the impression CE guilds vetted their players pretty hard.
Is that why some random bad player can go back to prior expansions and farm out all the old CE mounts???
I think you need to analyze your argument first.
I didn’t say that…I’ve said multiple times that this existed since its introduction over 10 years ago, while M+ received massive changes and that its about time Devs check raiding scene participation and do proper changes.
Also, if you check the OP post I mentioned that it’ll be better if the reward was added to heroic as minimum due to this limitation, I never said that this was a new rule. Besides the mount, I’d like to try the mythic mechanics when its current content but I don’t want to deal with the raid size of 20 + bench when I’m already doing great with my current raid size
They do, but there still just people playing the game.
They’re nothing special and they shouldn’t be put on a pedestal
my logs are public. i wasn’t carried but i wasn’t the best player on the team either.
i was just trying to point out that you can get CE without being the stereotypical sweaty raider. i play more hours a week now than i did then, oddly enough.
No they don’t. Cause if they were exclusives there would be a lot more chirping on these forums
Don’t worry, I wasn’t trying to insult you. I was just wanting clarification on your statement.
I’ve been carried so I would never look down on someone for that. Not a hypocrite.
Which is wrong. There is a ginormous difference between guilds dependent on their world rank. World 1-10 approaches it differently than 11-50 or 50 to 100, 100 to 200 etc etc etc. “CE Guild” is just a generic term. Even a world rank 1.6k guild is a “CE Guild” but they are nowhere near the time investment or skill of a lets say world 100 or 200 guild.
The thing is that it was introduced so balancing works. With 10 and 25man raids you always had one significantly easier than the other.
A flex mechanic would absolutely destroy balancing and potentially even screw you further. Lets say encounter X is faceroll on 12people but absolutely brutal on 17man you either bench 5people for a “fixed 12man” or go with 17 and want to end your existence at the end of the raid.
Eh, I think it’s more that people’s opinions of themselves relative to their environment don’t necessarily reflect their opinions of themselves relative to the whole. But also that while the amount of effort it takes to improve in this game has absurd diminishing returns, that’s mostly at a level beyond what CE requires, and it’s very possible to be good enough to achieve ce among players of a similar level to yourself without actually reaching your limit.
If the whole point of those mounts was to reward difficult content, they wouldn’t still allow bad players the ability to get the mount by killing a boss with a single stroke of a key.
Reward difficult content being cleared at that time. Top end players get the reward first, everyone else later
They do. Just much later and at a reduced drop rate.
yeah, this too. i said “CE guild” only to emphasize that we were completing each tier. “mythic guild” encompasses a lot of guilds that go like 6/8M or whatever every tier, which i excluded because we’re talking specifically about “end boss” mount rewards

Oh I know that, that’s why I mentioned before that this issue is almost impossible to fix, even Max from Limit mentioned that raids should be for a smaller group but that WoW due to the number of classes and balancing around the group size, its now an impossible task. Therefore; if its almost impossible to fix mythic, at least add this kind of rewards on the highest challenge difficulty that most players can reach like AOTC (heroic).

sure that can be your point. That’s not what the other person was saying.
Which btw - I agree with. I would personally like those CE mounts to be only for the players able to do the content if the game continues to make prior raid content a tedious and mindless xmog farm.
But that’s not what they did. So it’s not the whole point, even though I would like it to be.
They do. Just much later and at a reduced drop rate.
Correct - which means that the whole point isn’t just to reward doing the challenging content.
Please understand that I’m differentiating “challenging” from “tedious”.
Sure - it’s annoying having to spend hours going through an old raid to hit one button so you can roll dice at the rewards. But that’s not the challenging CE raiding that I believe the mount should be meant for.
IMO, the problem isn’t that this customization drops from only Mythic…it’s more…there aren’t many customizations in general. When I go from being able to pick from four colors (well, not me I haven’t unlocked all that), to seeing something like the Hellforged, ya…I’d be bummed.

One could argue that raids could get downsized to 15man. But flex is gonna be impossible even with less classes/specs in the game.
As for the getting it: I mean in the very latest next tier the difficulty of it is gonna laughable with S3 gear. Sylvanas shared the same fate. As did Jaina. While they still had their 100% drop rate as long as the xpac was current. And then well, during the following xpacs but at a reduced drop rate which could be anything from 1% to 5% (saying 5% since this is a skin, not a mount. So they may decide to go with a higher droprate instead)

Very fair - it’d be nice if they had a Heroic version like they do with tier/xmogs.
