It is the third week and I can’t even do a 2 because people leave, it is the low end that got destroyed and not the medium to high end.
People leaving has been a problem since the first week of Legion, though.
And everyone’s been through this issue. Punishment will be a way to hold people hostage. It can be extremely abused.
I only encounter this in runs that have essentially failed already. If a group wipes twice at the first boss in RLP, you may as well leave because the group will likely wipe again at the second boss too. It’s the same at the tree boss in Academy. It’s best to try that boss first as it’ll give you a good idea what the rest of the run will be like.
You can also often predict the outcome after a few trash pulls. Low dps, people not getting enough healing, tank pulling too slow and cautiously or too recklessly, no interrupts, etc. This week we have Incorporeal. If the first few go through because nobody does the second one (not talented into it, not caring, etc) , I’d be out.
Nobody really wants to spend 40+ minutes in dungeon for 5 crests.
That said, I have only left one key in this season (and one last season). I left a NO group when I noticed one of the dps was 450, in a +6, dying to AoE from the trash before the second boss after constantly dropping to 10% at the first boss’s AoE already.
I hadn’t checked before, so this was on me (he was a friend of the tank and I assumed the key owner had invited sensibly). He didn’t even release whenever he died and just waited for a rez, emphasizing his mindset. I said, “Not really happy to carry a 450 when it wasn’t stated that it would be a carry”. He gave me lip and told me it was him carry me (the 516 healer). I wished him good luck and left after checking with my dps friend that was also in the group.
I didn’t feel great about it, but I didn’t want to be there. I’m happy to help friends and carry someone’s alt if it’s clear that it’s a boost. But it’s not okay for me in a random PUG group this early in the season. Yes, we could have finished that run, but I didn’t want to enable the behavior.
I am already held hostage at +2, I do not care if it gets abused.
Game is unplayable, something needs to change.
But… It’s not dead where we are because people can actually do stuff.
Why would people leaving that are struggling with entry level keys affect a totally different subset of the player base?
That “something” could be you. Change how you do things. Join a M+ Discord community (like WoW Made Easy), network and make friends, join a guild that does M+.
You can sit there all day long and complain about how things are, demanding that the world change for you, but it won’t really bring you much joy. There are readily available solutions that don’t require the game to change and that will greatly improve your enjoyment of the game.
easy gear easy score
yeah because you dont care about us. mythic + players only cares about themselves. I’ve seen way you mighty mythic+ peoples treat others in that other thread. you people are big meanies.
Thanks for clearing that out. You are obviously not in a position to think clearly about this.
Correct. Not complaining that it is easy. I prefer it this way. Got my 2k and went on to play Rocket League. Now I just run a few +8s every week to get top gear until I’m OP and then run all 10s for portals and wait for TWW.
Everyone only cares about themselves. People ranting about not getting free carries, or having to put effort into getting gear and rating, do so for their own selfish reasons too. Everyone wants the best for themselves.
The whole “you’re selfish!” thing when not getting what you want is just a variant of the behavior that may have worked on our parents when we were little, but it doesn’t work so well on random strangers on the internet.
Haven’t been called that in a while. But I’m a tank! I protect others! How is that selfish?
as a healer…heals you very selfishly
Yes, I care about myself in a game that I invest my time and money in. So do you, or you wouldn’t be having this tantrum.
You act like a helpless victim because you’re actually presented with a challenge. The barrier to entry is not as out of reach as you think it is, you’re just completely disinterested in getting better and want meaningless content that doesn’t punish that mindset.
That still exists; it’s called heroic and people are just mad that it doesn’t give the same quality of free gear for ignoring mechanics and not playing your class at a basic level that the old early m+ did.
You’re right, I’m not really concerned with the internet video game strife of someone with that mindset.
100k hps on every pull and boss sounds normal? Like nothing to be stressed about.
thanks for proving me right. enjoy your dying game mode cause of this.
Thank you!
Up to +24s I’ve never seen a “we need lust to kill this boss” so I’m not surprised nobody says that in a mythic 0…
Lust is the most overrated “required” ability imo.
A +2 isn’t that different from a M0, and each encounter only has a few mechanics that takes some practicing to understand while most of it boils down to “don’t stand in bad, kill adds, interrupt things”
Maybe they think we are in 400 gear from season 1 where 100k hps would be high?
idk i havent done 2s very often, i only really heal 7-8s in which case i just rotate my cds when i need them and its chill the whole time, dont pay much attention to hps (i want to hit things)
the issue is that i’d be healing and then a dps would go kaboom out of nowhere and all i could do was ???. i was sweating because i didnt know what new creative way to take damage they’d find
100k might not have been a good estimate but surely a 2 doesnt require insane hps even now. i dont even think hps was the issue because the one shots were just everywhere.
our tank was also lagging something crazy
anyway im a happy little dps outside of nelth prison
