Did a 9 neltharus where the pug tank wasnât moving boss into chains.
Wiped twice when after the second pull we were breaking the chains and he got mad we broke them and left the group.
Things that drop ilvl 3 higher than a normal raid should start off harder than mythic raids? Seems backwards but ok.
The only people this is overwhelming are people that struggled on anything under a +10 last season. More than likely they have no clue Blizzard shrunk the key levels lol.
They could nerf vdhâŚor they just give other tanks alot more control, like raz for bear also being a half second knock down every 10 seconds, demo shout for warrior also being an aoe kick, abom limb having a 1 min cd for blood and 2 charges but doing half damage.
Iâm sure theyâll patch it sooner or later, VDH will get nerfs and the others will get buffs. might not take VDH out of the meta but itâll make it closer.
Bringing chaos brand for spriest/firemage/Aug puts it ahead as well
My guild main tank is playing vdh this season for the first time and he said itâs super strong op but itâs the most fun heâs had.
+2 is not harder than mythic raids but high level keys should be harder or equally hard as mythic raids. (Keys that are 20-25+ depending on the balance)
OR, hear me out! You and other friends who have time, try to gear up and help the rest of your premade composition when you play m+2. Simple solution isnât it?
No they really should not do that. A good vdh literally removes the need for anyone else to press anything but damage buttons (Even often the healer) for the first 45~ seconds of every single meaningful pull.
I didnât say they were it just seemed from reading what you said that it was implied that they should always be harder than mythic raids. Meaning should start there.
It might get said a lot, but itâs rarely true. Everyone thinks whatever their pet project issue is at the moment is the most important thing ever. As a guardian enthusiast, for example, it was great when Mage+shadow+aug were the thing because it dovetailed so well. For the first 10 weeks of the second half of season 2, anyway. Or when pally overtook warrior as damage got nerfed and keys started being about survival.
Thereâs no synergy with DH. They just have all the tools. No need to build a comp that doesnât DR itself or has complementary buffs. They just have all the entire shelf open to them.
Thatâs fair. Sorry I didnât explain more clearly. But yes I meant that higher keys maybe even 15+ should be similar in difficulty to a mythic raid (but sort of like a small mini mythic raid)

That makes perfect sense to me! Thanks for clearing up my confused face. If itâs dropping mythic raid level loot it should definitely be presenting a comparable challenge.
Tanks can help themselves, thatâs fine and I think the rotational gameplay of vdh / bdk is generally pretty great. However VDH currently prevents trash mobs from interacting with the group at all.
If you have sigils ready you just pull 4-5 packs at once and AoE them down, none of the mobs will even do anything because the DH has 7 AoE stops ready to chain together.

Considering we went in at 460 and heroic gear is 476 i really donât think thatâs a problem
They got a rework in amirdrassil that gave all their sigils 2 charges (So thatâs 3 extra AoE stops for nothing), they also became a lot more tanky with S3 set and some defensive changes.
