Why is that? Dead keys will just make people rely on others to be able to do any kind of runs for an entire week.
got a link confirming?
that’s booty if so
that might be one of the dumbest things ever
good news is that new feat for +15 all dungeons just gave me a reason to do stuff
Confirmed. Wowhead has the official patch notes. My guess is there is some kind of exploit. I know many of the high end M+ people are deleting keys on every run so they can keep farming a specific dungeons, or to permanently avoid specific dungeons. (resulting in some instances being played far more than others).
But I don’t know why for sure.
well yea i do that myself to avoid places i don’t need loot from or just don’t feel like running.
never felt like an exploit as the game would even give you a replacement key if you deleted yours mid run; no funny stuff involved.
all this really does is make people form less groups when they themselves have a bad key. they will just hope someone has a better one in their group of players/pug. curious what they are trying to accomplish.
I… feel like we weren’t able to delete keys in Legion either. When someone said recently they deleted their key then ran a m+ to get a new one I immediately thought it had to have been bugged since you couldn’t in Legion?
You think you don’t want to be forced to run shine but you really do.
that’s the thing right
if i gets shrine or underrot, i just wont start a group. not even them being “bad”, i just would rather be inside KR or siege.
i didn’t play in legion but i have heard the trash was a lot easier. in a world where trash isn’t annoying, deleting keys may not be something you want but in BFA some keys on some weeks are just awful.
this just seems insensitive to what players want but also ignorance of mythic + culture
This change will kill mythic+ no doubt. Right now a group can delete keys they don’t want as they go through others. And now you are stuck with a terrible key, with the option to deplete and refarm up hoping you don’t get the exact same key again.
Stupid decision. You can’t force people to run shrine or temple. They are bad dungeons. Simple.
The dungeons are also a lot longer with much tighter timers.
So this was a change made just to make the game worse right? I can’t see how this improves the game experience for anyone, only reducing options and potential fun for players.
It sucks that this dev team sees any deviation from their set out path of how they want you to play the game as a bug
i would absolutely love some rationale as to why this was changed.
like, there’s no silver lining save their completion numbers of shrine and temple will go up
maybe if they are low they should investigate why
Blizzard does not believe in giving players choices anymore. The entire theme of BfA is removing choice from players. This is just another poorly thought out change.
Is it a dumb way to get a new key? Sure, but there NEEDS to be ways to change your key. If you’re going to remove the ability to delete them then make something in your own UI that let’s us reroll, downgrade, whatever.
Now let’s not be so dramatic.
Yes, it sucks, but it would be more productive for everyone to make noise about it while enjoying and praising parts of the game that deserves it. Only giving back negative comments without an intention to solve a problem is called complaining.
In this case, what you want to be saying to Blizz is to restore the ability to delete keys because X Y and Z.
I am glad I unsubbed. What a joke. There was literally no reason for this change.
What should have happened in the first place is Blizzard to explain why the hell they are making a change that will just make the game worse for everyone who cares about m+. We don’t have to explain a thing to them, we are the costumers who pay them to do their job, and clearly their work is towards making the game worse, against what the community wants.
Not really a lot needs to be said. The balance between dungeons is absolutely terrible. Some are several orders of magnitude easier to run then others. Gear targeting is certainly a factor for some as well
Either fix the large disparity between dungeon difficulty or let people delete keys
The cynic in me wonders how many Shrine and Temple keys will be in boxes tomorrow.
/shudder
Maybe they should address the issues that make those dungeons miserable so that folks won’t shy away from them?
They can keep me from deleting my key, but they can’t make me run Temple of Sethralis.
