I was thinking adding a barrier to entry. I wish they made it so players had to have completed glory before unlocking the ability to do keys. Nobody wants this, so the next best thing is to add more rewards for staying in bricked keys.
They did this back in Warlords and it was a massive failure. You needed silver proving grounds, which I got pretty easily. People were complaining on the forums for the entire expansion, let alone trade. People really disliked it. Albeit, I’m not a fan of gatekeeping, it is a preventative system so people can’t brick your keys, but it’s also a stupid easy thing to win Silver PG and barely affected the flow of heroic. People still messed up a lot.
They complained about pathfinding too. I’ve had way more fun getting Shellack in WQ blues with good players than I ever did pugging my way to KSM.
Ah yes that argument goes over well. Let’s say you got the highest achievements in SL and then DF starts… You go in, you didn’t play beta or watched any beta footage. You get into a raid/key and don’t know what to kick and miss something. You miss a kick, someone who played beta calls you a troll and you link your SL achievements saying you know how to play but to give a little info on what and when to kick.
You don’t see the issue here?
I could have the top end achieves from Legion but it wont tell me how/what to kick in a new M+ dungeon rotation that everyone is new to… Which will happen alot in BRH to even the most experienced people from this season I’m counting on it.
There are 2900-3k’s still messing up kicks even in this season on 20’s. People will call me a liar but pugs exist for the oddest of reasons with these people on alts lol
700 io WW monk yesterday with a 3100 main havoc DH climbs into a 16 AV and doesn’t kick waking bane and guess what happens? He calls out someone else for not kicking it and leaves. GG.
Sure bring back proving grounds gold as a requirement to use LFG, and silver as a requirement to use LFD/LFR
Make it Silver for LFG and Gold for LFD/LFR
Glory of the Dragonflight Hero. You must have Shellack before being able to do a M+ key. Participation will go down, key success will sky rocket.
Something like that will always exist even if everytime it’s attempted to be removed. I could have the achieve of digging 10 piles of dirt and that could be a requirement I have a mouse plugged in for LFG. Anything can take it’s place.
the problem here is that you further narrow the already-narrow field of people to group with my making them match key level.
That achievement has nothing to do with mythic plus whatsoever and does indicate how people will perform
You don’t even have it. So how would you know?
I always get a lot of flak for saying it, but it’s the truth. People who have no experience shouldn’t be theory crafting or trying to overhaul entire systems.
That alone wouldn’t account the massive difference in participation numbers. Even SL S2 ended with 20 million.
This is a video game, not a democracy. The developers should make decisions on what they feel is best, not people who have no idea what they are talking about.
Even if we go by date, he is wrong. I got KSM before he did.
So many AOTC people still wiping on normal/Heroic raz so yes I agree
Right. M+ is different than heroics and normal dungeons by a massive margin, it contributes nothing.
And you are barely KSM as a dps more than halfway through the season yet are talking about a skill deficit, you are the skill deficit
Glory requires M0. Again, you would know if you had it.
Amen to that.
Again, amen to that.
Sorry I don’t waste my time doing meaningless achievements to my playstyle?
…
I think you should be forced to complete Glory before doing keys with me. At least that way I’m confident you’re good enough to not brick my keys.
- To activate a Mythic+ dungeon, every member of the party needs to contribute a key
- Players who bail out of a run incur an additional penalty to their key
Those two points right there! Put that in game.
