nah man, can’t run ur own key, “bad game”

More like it’s a bad game and I had no desire to keep wasting my time, trying to catch up to people. Has nothing to do with me.

I mean, yeah. That’s why 25-man raids used to give higher ilvl gear than 10-man. I don’t hate M+ but I don’t think it should give mythic raid ilvl gear. Up to heroic, sure.

It shouldn’t give Mythic level gear, it’s a complete joke that it does.

It can’t. We need to progress higher keys too.

Or then we just raid - but mythic raiding isn’t bad because of m+, it’s bad because of the lockout, the logistical nightmare, and the schedule it’s on

Imagine finally breaking into Mythic difficulty and half your raid quits to go run M+. Lmao. Yeah, that’s healthy, everything is just so healthy in this game.

They should focus on improving how mythic raiding works instead of trying to rip apart m+ for no reason.

Raiding has made raiding less desirable. The fights are getting more complicated, less forgiving, and have mechanics that are often annoying rather than interesting or fun. On top of that, fielding 20 players that 1) have the ability to do the most challenging content and 2) want to do the most challenging content is much easier said than done.

If anything, mythic plus enables more people to raid because it gets them gear to help them brute force fights.

And M+ players need to raid to get THEIR best gear.

Raiding has hurt raiding.

I’m never raiding again regardless of what you do to M+.

I disagree. I don’t mind the lockout or the schedule. What I don’t like is killing mythic bosses and disenchanting half the gear because we all have better gear from M+. It feels bad.

And that’s not fun.

I mean, this is generally how the first 3 bosses work.

They’re pretty easy, and that’s why blizz made the mid tier bosses drop better loot

but ya i mean disenchanting is gonna happen anyways. cuz the vault.

i wouldn’t say that m+ is the root problem of no one wanting to raid. It’s just a disaster to get 20 people that are around the same skill level, that can work on the same schedule, and are on the same server until HoF.

I will say this - no changes to m+ will ever make me WANT to mythic raid more. They can change ilvl, how gearing works, it still won’t make me want to raid more.

I don’t wanna be all like “back in my day”, but it didn’t use to be like that, lol. Every new boss kill dropped upgrades. The only time something would get disenchanted was if something dropped that no one could use, like int plate when you didn’t have a holy pally.

Yeah but this is new age.

There’s a new end game pillar, and it’s m+.

Which is wildly popular, and arguably more popular than mythic raiding for obvious reasons. Like I said - you can try to get people to want to raid more, but tearing down M+ in an effort to make raiding more appealing is the wrong way to go about it. Raiding is currently just a disaster to make work.

If your logic is “make m+ worse so people raid more” which is essentially what you’re saying, it just isn’t logical.

Why in the world would blizzard ever, tear down gearing from M+ in an effort to make raiding better if m+ is more popular currently?

I made new friends upon returning in Shadowlands and even got my Alliance characters into a friends guild right around Dragonflight launching. I run my own keys and have no issue whatsoever with random strangers playing my game with me.

I feel like if you approach the player base the way you seem to, then you sure will have issues interacting with others.

I disagree. M+ is extremely boring and I only do it because I feel like I’m forced to for the vault. It’s a chore to get 4 keys done every week, whereas raiding is actually fun.

The problem is people don’t feel forced to raid to get gear for M+, but the opposite is true. Just make keys easier so the high keys can be done with heroic-level gear. Most people pushing keys aren’t even planning on mythic raiding anyway. Yes, there’s some overlap between the two, but I guarantee that if M+ didn’t give mythic-level gear, most mythic raiders wouldn’t touch keys at all.

I mean you’re allowed to feel how you want about m+.

It still doesn’t mean that it’s a good idea for blizzard to tear down M+ instead of just improving raiding in general. The loot tables are out for s2, you can look at them. They’re pretty fair all around.

Even as someone who primarily does m+, I don’t want them to ruin raiding to make m+ more appealing. That’s just such a one sided thought process.

Plus on the bright side yall are getting like 5 new super rare items anyway, and the trinkets are a godsend from the new raid
