I think M+ is actually super interesting if done well - I just don’t think the game does a very good job at making what to do obvious. I do want to put a caveat in that statement - the new TWW dungeons are much much easier to navigate but it is really evident that this is new when running the SL BFA dungeons - they are a total mess of hard to see mechanics that you often lose to because you have failed to recognize there is an ability to dodge.
Examples:
Marauder Cleave in NW
Enforcer frontal that is… the same color as the ground
The swirlies in pretty much all the SL BFA dungeons being the same color palette as the ground
The Miscaller’s dodgeball arrows
The fox during Mistcaller
What spells dispell what
These things should be obvious but they are not. In a way its fun but its also a heavy barrier.
This isn’t some gatcha, cool thanks for the contribution I thought you wanted clarification if you don’t and don’t want to look up the dictionary definitions then no problem have a great day.
I just don’t understand how people have this problem still when the solution is so simple. Just forster an environment that people want to be a part of. We have had over 30 people on our roster this expansion so far, the challenge being rotating people in and out on a boss to boss, week to week basis so everyone gets the kill achievement while having people who have upgrades from said boss.
Delves did to the low/mid end of M+ what M+ did to the low/mid end of raiding.
Just kind of the nature of these things. Easy content with okayish loot is going to replace harder content (or at least harder to organise) unless that harder content has significantly better loot, like 7s and up, or Heroic+ Raids currently do.
Delves fell off pretty hard for loot, nobody cares about Champion loot or trying to farm maps when you can just do 8/9s for Hero Track loot + the crests to upgrade it.
What’s devalued for some creates values for others. If something gets devalued by something new being added, that means the potential interest in that type of other content was already there. I like raiding in Classic, I see little reason to raid anything outside of Mythic in retail after the first 1-2 weeks.
Delves are really stupid and the rewards they give people for doing them is like rewarding people who do follower dungeons or giving people the item to craft a 613 piece for killing the final raid boss with the bots. Why do we need to baby bad players still it’s 2024
This is me. The dungeon roster is garbage. When they posted the lineup I was like “no way they do this…” but they did and some of us aren’t interested in chasing gear across terrible dungeons experiences.
I think I ran freehold over 100 times when it was in the M+ lineup, because it was just “fun” to do.
