Mythic Eonar the Life-Binder Antorus Skip

if you think there’s a bug, it should go in bug reports. it won’t get addressed here.

It’s a huge bummer that this boss is what’s preventing myself and so many others from clearing the instance solo. I’m aware that there are guides, but a simple skip option would save so much stress and time. The fight itself is ridiculous; old content should not be this tricky or difficult.

is there any particular reason for thinking that?

Try doing that on a Pally or DK, since they both have lower mobility. It sucks. Doable? Most likely, but hell it’s chore

It’s pretty easy on a pally, just take double steed and movement speed increase with freedom. I have rocket boots to so that helps. I can do it with DK too. Just have to use death’s advance and wrath walk at the right times. I also use the jump thing inside the ship as well.

The general consensus is its old content and shouldnt be too demanding on the player to complete.

I feel the people who dont want it to be changed for whatever reason aren’t seeing the point. A guide is fine and the encounter (when current and ran properly in a group) only took a minute. Solo, you have a high chance to fail.

I, personally, CAN do the fight just fine. Do I fail sometimes trying to do it? Yes. Do I wonder why I have to maintain mythic mechanics and fail a fight three expansions out? Yes, I do.

Hi, Blizzard, add the skip. IDK what changed between DF and Shadowlands but this fight got even more goofy.

Hi Blizz! That person you hate hearing from and probably have muted because of my gripes about old content is back. Glad to see i dont DC when going to Garrosh(atleast i didnt this time.) Skips… Skips all around and make BFA mythics actually soloable.

omg @ 'it’s easy" crowd. Here’s a tip–if it’s not easy for MOST people.it’s not “easy.” So please, stopping you right there with that non-helpful dumb response.

lots of people like the concept of content prior to the current patch not immediately becoming trivial. :dracthyr_shrug:

It’s feeling very not immediately lately, though.

We’ve been saving Eonar for six years straight. Give her and us a break.

i guess i’m just puzzled at the change in perception. there was a time when it was understood that soloing raids, even if they weren’t current, might take some luck/perseverance/ingenuity to handle mechanics that were never designed for solo play. now we’re at the “everything that’s old should be just a matter of hitting a button and getting the loot” stage. i don’t know when it changed or how we’re deciding how old is “should be trivial”.

I have no idea what your sense of “perception” was, but people never really had the idea that every other fight in the raid being easy to solo, and one fight being randomly annoying was somehow good/OK. I can easily think of examples, like Viscidus, that players didn’t think was acceptable even back then (meaning back in BC/Wrath).

Which is one of the reasons you see comments about Eonar. It’s clearly a random aberration when compared to the other bosses in the very same instance, or even bosses from a later expansion.

I certainly wouldn’t complain if they decided to revamp the idea of Legacy content to all be challenging solo encounters a’la Mage Tower, but that’s talking about a systemic change where there’s at least some attempt to design all the bosses for players, and tune them to the expectation that they’re on a similar difficulty level. That wouldn’t be Eonar. The other thing that probably rankles on players is that, unlike say the first times it became possible to solo Illidan, or solo Gruul, or whatever, where more gear would make it more reliable - Eonar isn’t going to change with gear or future expansions.

I mean, even if Blizzard is way too slow on the ball most of the time, they’ve essentially already formalised some criteria on that with Legacy. If Blizzard deems something Legacy, then it’s dated beyond the idea of mattering. Antorus is already in that criteria. BFA should be.

And of course, it’s on Blizzard if everything among old raids and transmog is just about rolling dice rolls. If they wanted to make the transmog process (or raid gearing) more interesting, I’d imagine at least some people would be more interested in that, but when transmog farming, mount farming, or whatever, is just about stacking alts to pull the slot machine lever, and Blizzard has no interest in changing that dynamic … yeah Legacy farming can’t really be more than that.

I have no idea if you’re randomly playing Devil’s advocate, but if I wanted to design interesting legacy content that wasn’t trivial, Eonar would not be it. I can’t imagine a single player, let alone any significant group of players, that would describe Eonar as “fun”.

She is awful. An alternative to a skip should be increasing her health, decreasing the damage she takes, and increasing movement in ships or skip the ship mechanic.

We shouldn’t have to read multiple guides on how to down her at this point. It’s legacy content and people do it to get transmogs and the mount, not world firsts.

Blizzard, please add a skip to Eonar. There’s no point in learning guides for this at the moment, people want transmogs and mounts

Nothing has made me angrier in this game than this dumb boss fight, getting knocked up in the air when trying to click crystals and dying cause I’m 0.2 seconds off. Just put in a skip

Something here is not right… draenor has similar thing running around bomb everything on first boss, its hard, but Eonar is just way too much. After so many expansions it should at least have a fix now, at least balance it a bit.

For all the people who say “snort snort it is soloable you just have to try harder snort snort” shut up this is a 6 year old raid it should be soloable without needing to put any form of effort just like the the other 6+ year old raids

When will Blizz respond to this? This fight is absolutely ridiculous.
