It comes down to situational awareness, but don’t act like there isnt an option to use class utility to overcome a problem. In fact, on Life Pools for example fear is incredibly useful as a secondary option to interrupt flame dance, since you should be in melee range as it is to use the knock-up debuff on those mobs in the event you get it.
Sure, some utilities are superior than others, but if you are forming groups for keys that don’t have the ideal utilities for the known problem areas, then you have to work with what you have, or form more well rounded groups. An aoe stun and/or interrupt, ranged interrupt, brez class, and appropriate cleanse for the dungeon are all but essential for 15+ this expansion.
Hopped into a pug yesterday and saw 4 evokers (counting me), did the math on how likely it was that the 3 devokers had talented for shorter CDs on their interrupt, and politely encouraged them to find a different healer lol.
Which are all conveniently present on something like Evoker who has BL over BRez (much more useful anyway since everyone can BRez once we get spark #3 next week). Going back to priest again we have…one of those and it’s a scuffed one. The dispel appropriate to dungeon is also meaningless this expansion as the only dungeon with a mandatory dispel is Brackenhide (not in current rotation) which having an Alchemist removes the need for.
Tell me how the last boss on Jade Serpent is gonn be for your healer with no debuff removal, or Tree boss with the stacking poison or ‘dont move’ boss in vault with no dispels on tyrannical this week? Just a couple off the top off my head
You mean the magic dispels EVERY healer gets? Mass Dispel is only usable on every OTHER cast from Sha and you are never hitting more than 2-3 people on the last boss of AV with MD since the group has to spread.
Priests can’t dispel poisons so I am really curious why you would even bring him up.
Im not talking about priest, you said ‘appropriate cleanse doesnt matter’ so ill tell you why your wrong. Your healing my prot warrior on your priest, we have a rogue, hunter and warlock as dps - whos cleaning the poison that is gonna obliterate the tank on treebeard?
Hyrja Eye of the Storm was already trucking on a 16 Fortified, and the Odyn runes were borderline unhealable on a 16 Fortified as well. These mechanics have a pretty long history of being ridiculous (basically all of Legion) and I feel like Tyrannical is going to expose just how much damage goes out throughout this dungeon.
