Mythic 7+ should give gilded crests

People want it at 8 because it was at 8 at one point and they want that back. Sure, people could ask for it to be even lower if they really wanted to, but there’s no real precedent for it.

7s are too easy

But initially? DF was at a 20 for the best gear.

Then it got lowered over time.

Upgrade track made high end mythic track status not as relevant.

Mythic track also didn’t exist back then.

They had aspect crests in content as trivial as 16s.

Players malding at the idea of mythic+ actually having some difficulty for their rewards.

Look, I had a full myth row from my m+ vault this week (and it was all garbage, anyway) but I get why people are mad they lost something they previously had.

Oh that’s easy, the people in the top raiding guilds complained!

Initially the best gear was hard to obtain, then made easier and easier as time went on. Maybe that was a mistake, so Blizzard corrected course.

It’s not that mythic being at 6 bothers me. If there’s a track above it.

It’s so people who climb can get something more than those who just do their weeklies.

So do you want the best vault even higher than 10? Do you want it to scale forever? Or what is it you want.

Were m+ to be the sole format, I would be fine with that. (provided that dungeons scaled more than gear.) It would wreak havoc on raiding though, but that’s why it doesn’t happen.

It’s like advocating Diablo 3 to remove 130 greater rift levels to bring it down to a more manageable amount. (Might be more fun, but that “is” the content essentially.)

Felt that I had to grind through easy content too much for power then there was even more easy grinding to do for significant power increases.

It’s silly that mythic track never outright drops from dungeons but it does rise to a point where it’s more demanding than mythic bosses. (Numerically at least.)

I’d rather grind a variety of 8s than a bunch of Mists but right now it feels like I have to do a lot of Mists to max my vault. Last week for 10s I did 1 Siege, 1 Dawnbreaker, and 6 Mists lol. I just think I’d be having more fun if they kept it at 8 and I geared up that way before trying to get the portals instead of feeling pushed into doing untimed 10s to slowly gear up for timed 10s except I didn’t even get an upgrade this week out of vault, ugh. :frowning:

But how much more fun is it to play 10s for no greater power rewards?

Like people are already complaining that they need to go to a mere seven for hero track cause delves are in the picture.

I was fine with just getting the portal for them like in SL S4 when I started doing 20s. Shrug.

I enjoy it if filling vault is a challenge that’s why I like DF S1 / TWW S1 most. DF S1 better really, I was further from capping.

Feeling the need to grind mists is mostly just a statement about their poor dungeon balance. There should be no unreasonable outliers on either side (too easy or too hard).

But Blizz always does that intentionally or they are just bad at balance.

It’s broken when it feels easier to time a Mists 10 than to improve on my Grim Batol 5, but guess my IO won’t be getting much higher anytime soon. Which means I mostly will only get invited to Mists.

But is that objectively easier or just a personal issue?

I find Ara-kara to be one of the harder keys (despite it being “free” to +2.)

I feel like Grim Batol probably has a lower rate of being timed, but I’m trying to find where on Raider IO the statistics are…

And yeah, I dislike Ara-Kara as well, have trouble with 2nd boss unfortunately.

I have trouble with the first, comparable to manifested timeways. Or rather I really dislike dodging gossamer onslaught.

Oh yes, Manifested Timeways. Never set foot in that dungeon again after I got my teleport, solely due to that boss.

My intention wasn’t to accommodate everyone’s skill level, it was to smooth the curve after the squish.
