Mythic 0 Changes are ridiculous

I did okay on an alt last season. At least okay in my terms just over 2k, these people will look down on me for even trying the game apparently reading their responses. Jerks saying “Keeping people like you out” to op are whats wrong with this game. People forget this a game. If you cannot learn the fights in heroics mythic 0 should be more forgiving. Now instead you have to watch videos on youtube to learn fights just so you can play a game. Do homework just to play the game.

Stop standing in bad and push your buttons better.

M0s are not really hard for the people who do keys but for the people who do heroics or people who where doing 2 keys last season they cant do it

This. Gearing up in infinitely-spammable heroics is a perfectly viable way to get ready for M0. And I’m done giving the benefit of the doubt to anyone, literally anyone, saying they need a difficulty specifically to “learn the mechanics.” They can read the dungeon journal, and then implement that in M0. If they steamroll heroic without reading the dungeon journal or even caring enough to try, they’re not going to read the dungeon journal or care enough to try at harder difficulties. They’re just going to steamroll up until the point they can’t, and then go on the forums and cry about it, whether in dungeons, raid or pvp. “Needing to learn” is a gaslighting tactic, because they never will and never want to.

Exactly this. People want to clear the hardest difficulty, but they expect to not have to put in any effort to do so. To me it’s just silly.

If mythic is “too difficult”, and by that I mean “unwilling to learn”, then it simply isn’t the difficulty mode for you.

It’s a name change. “Heroic” now drops the loot and has the difficulty that an M0 had before.

The main problem I see here is that the weeky chest got more difficult. I think it is simple – change the weekly dungeon quest to include heroics.

does it not? i thought even timewalking fills the dungeon vault now.

Maybe nows the time to put in the effort having a dungeon journal for trash abilities.

You monster.

It’s not entirely clear from this thread if people want m0s to be a pushover like they used to be or that heroic dungeons are not a good stepping stone. If it’s the latter, definitely bump up the challenge of heroic dungeons. On the other hand, there’s plentiful resources out there to explain what things to look out for in mythic dungeons. If you go into a m0 without some understanding of what the threats are, you won’t have a good time.

Has anyone drawn a comparison to raids yet? I mean, raids also have normal > heroic > mythic, with new/additional mechanics and/or changes to mechanics along with the expected increases in damage and HP. Is it a steeper jump here in dungeons that makes it ‘ridiculous’ or is it a perception that dungeons are supposed to be brainless unless there’s a timer in the corner of the screen?

It’s the same for raids. Heroic raids alone does not prepare you for mythic. You need to prepare yourself with an understanding of what is different and what strategies are more likely to be successful. Not too different from heroic->m0 in dungeons.

I am close to 50, been playing since the start.

I consider myself below average in terms of ability.

Current M0 is not hard at all. I decided to run a 453 monk through an M0, timed it, and went for a bio afterwards, and came back with time to spare. And at 50, bio’s aren’t ezpz anymore.

There is no in game gap/entry wall to M+. They are not hard at all.

I am fully of the belief that a lot of people play with their feet, rather then using their fingers to press abilities. And they run around dungeons with their eyes closed.

I love an alt. Leveling a guardian Druid. The amount of times I go through a dungeon for some moron to face pull something two rooms away is beyond belief. Then when they die, they run back with half the dungeon following them is crazy.

If developers catered to the lowest common denominator, a select few would play. They need to satisfy a wide audience. M+ was put in for further challenge. Making it so those that come last can have trophies defeats the point of M+. If it’s too hard for you, stop complaining and get better, put shoes on while you play to stop end user error.

There is content in the game for everyone, with reward = effort, to they best they can develop.

I assume timing an m0 meant you finished it before you had to go to the bathroom

Some people just love to make up stories.

The nuanced addendum to this is that the back bosses of heroic difficulty are generally comparable to the first few bosses on mythic, if not slightly harder. Take ATDH for example, if you can do H Smolderon and Tindral, you should be able to do M Gnarlroot all the way to Volcoross. And if you can do H Fyrakk, you should be able to do M Council.

So yes, heroic raiding does, at least on the front of difficulty and complexity, prepare people for mythic raiding.

Yes, I put a timer on to check.

Unfortunately it was a quick wipe

that’s what I’ve heard. I’m talking about the current dungeon weekly that awards 2 bullion, used to award a heroic raid item
