It’s gonna be a beautiful dumpster fire. It’s already starting now that I glance over GD now.
This will not go well. M0 is supposed to teach you about the actual mechanics of the dungeon. Not be a complete wipe fest because of every single mistake.
You literally don’t even see the boss mechanics in a heroic dungeon.
Dumb change is dumb.
That “Pool” is likely to be a puddle this season. But glad you see it as a win.
Perhaps originally they were an introduction to mythic dungeons, but clearly that is no longer the case…and to be fair, they reward normal raid gear and heroic raid gear in the vault, so they should be challenging.
To fix this issue, Blizz needs to add something in between heroic and M0 to fill the role that M0s used to fill
Just make heroic dungeons have the same mechanics as mythics but they hit less hard. Now there’s a buffer, in theory m0s are supposed to be good for learning but they have a lockout and seem to make inexperienced players more frustrated than anything.
Heroics drop 476 gear, unless you are suggesting that players should be required to fully upgrade every piece of gear they get before moving into M0…which would be rediculous
Not only that, Heroics fall over in seconds. Mechanics don’t even happen. No one learns anything, as there’s nothing to learn, as stuff dies so fast before any mechanics can happen or everyone can stand in everything and it’s meaningless and they don’t know mechanics, either.
The philosophy that queued content HAS to be able to be completed by an infant probably needs changing. Heroics should feel like s1-s3 m0s, maybe a little bit harder.
Heroic mechanics can and do kill players not doing them, so it isn’t that far off but it’s less punishing in a lot of ways too. Like if a player dies it’s not as hard to still kill the boss in heroic, where mythic is.
I liked a suggestion that there be a mythic +1 added and a mythic 0 be scaled down slightly. To give better transition feeling since the step of difficulty is big.
Why is it ridiculous? Only requires Flightstones, and while they have a ceiling on how many you can store, it doesn’t have a weekly cap.
Heroic allows loot from each boss, so that’s 3-4-5x times you can loot in a single run. And you can spam heroics. All the while gaining flightstones for doing so.
It’s not a hard, nor long process really. But am I suggesting players do that? No absolutely not. There’s no need. Unless there is the need to be nearly maxed out in current level gear before advancing, then it’s a completely viable option.
Because I am. There aren’t any mechanics that get added that make you change the way you played the exact same dungeon on Heroic.
