Thats what I tend to see from those people that use the “Go to retail argument if you want it”, they either play retail but not enough of it or haven’t played retail in a long time.
I rarely use RDF on this character that I post on, the only times I would do an RDF dungeon is if there was a new expansion released so I can get some early gear to get into mythic dungeons, If I’m leveling an alt or if I have a reason to be there on this character (either helping a friend, guildie or a quest).
Most of the time on this character, I’m using the same tool that wrath classic is using right now to do my mythic dungeons and M+ runs because the heroic dungeon gear is just stepping stone, meaning it will eventually get replaced. Also the LFG tool in retail is just superior than what we have in Wrath classic.
no you are the obnoxious idiot that dont understand that the community doesnt exist, its a fairy tale or a flawed memory you are trying to chase. Im currently trying to level 2 characters and im on a popular server but there is literally no one its soulless even in northrand so instead of questing while waiting for dungeon I have to afk to find a group and when its formed there are little to no interaction while in ffxiv dungeons people interact more in chat so it is not a rdf problem, but the playerbase.
I do agree with you on this. No doubt in my mind it wasn’t done over coding. Those that have played Blizzard games long enough know how conceded they can be and boy can they be. I’m don’t think their intent is important, but this outcome will be predictable if we take into their past history. No one needs or should be expecting an apology, but they come up with some back peddling way and add it probably in icc tier like it was done in retail just for the nostalgia of it then expect those that are for rdf to grateful and give them a free pass and a pat on the back.
RDF destroying the community is such a stupid idea like ffxiv has it and their community is way stronger than what I have seen in classic wow lol, Hardcore classic wow wannabe are just jerks with midlife crisis
o no players are not playing the same way they did in 2007 and I want features that were not implemented till ICC patch. I guess this is one of those “you think you do, but you dont” situations? please feel free to remove any of the “features” they added already before they should have and change all the things back to how they should be for Wrath. I wanted a museum piece to enjoy old wow not sudo new wow for fomo children
well if you want to go that road then there are a tone of changes that shouldn’t be there too like the current class balance for example and they said that they wont implement it because of your people
sure as I said remove them all :). bring back full classic experience. I went through vanilla past wrath once already back in the day and it was fun I can do it again
yet its not working. and as far as social in the open world… i sat at the buffet tables outside of stormwind yesterday offering free portals to IF and DARN, just because i felt like being nice for the holiday fest for a day… guess how many people said a word to me when i was gratzing their achievements and the like…

i love how they completely ignore the fact that we cant go to retail to play wrath, the game mechanics are not there. so it has rdf. woohoo, but we lose our character mechanics.

Yes, everyone here knows forming two raid groups of 40, from two different factions, is an astronomically harder task than forming a raid of 25 players of the same faction.
The point, is that Blizzard said “we do not want X in classic” but then turns around and puts X in classic for an aspect of the game. Stop focusing on the difference between pve and pvp, we all know the differences. The difference is not the point being made, the focus is on the contradicting stance.

Also this mentality of “go back to retail” just because people don’t want to play your fantasized version of classic is bonkers. Guess what bud? RDF was in the original WotLk, so if you don’t want it maybe you should play a private server for your true SOCIAL experience.
I know most people or a good amount of people say that RDF killed the social aspect of the game. Honestly I just feel people themselves accomplish that. I don’t know how many people would be for this idea but bring back RDF and instead of teleporting into the dungeon the whole group gets teleported at the meeting stone. Then the whole group has to move into the dungeon entrance so that way everyone knows where to go when the group wipes during the run. I know it might be hard for cross server since I know in retail the RDF is cross server. I think Blizzard could make a server for just cross server RDF or give people a buff that allows them to be in another server.
