My review after 100+ hours in TWW

Jesus Christ, you guys are still complaining about this?

The OP wants more orcs, and I don’t see an issue with that. Some of the other stuff though…

I’ve enjoyed the expansion overall–I can mostly agree with your assessment, I’ve mained hunter since vanilla… I gotta say, you must have been wearing your Warrior-tinted-goggles with that generous 9/10 for Class Balance rating and 10/10 for Hero talents. I’m obviously jaded, since BM is a train-wreck for AoE, MM can be great at one thing or another (but no healthy balance between AoE AND single-target), and I’ve just never been a fan of the melee-hunter fantasy… so survival is meh at best imo–even being the jack of all trades that it is right now and performing quite well. But disappointments in my favorite class aside, I have enjoyed the expansion thus far.

I can agree, the story doesn’t really stand out to me so much–but ever since BFA/Shadowlands, I just havent had any interest in the story. Anduin is forgettable as always (I feel like the only time he was interesting at all was when he was MC’d by someone else), and Alleria does give off some serious ‘Windrunner’ vibes, she is definitely Sylvanas’s sister…

But the gameplay is good, the new dungeons are great (special Shoutout to Dawnbreaker w/ skyriding events in the instance), delves are enjoyable, and I’ve levelled up 5 characters so far. Most of the new hero talents all ‘feel good’ …some just need a bit of love from a calculator. I look forward to the next steps–hope my RANGED hunter gets some substantial tweaks to make it a bit more competitive, rather than the current state of “you can be pretty good at some things, or bad at everything.”

Honestly the best part of TwW was the whole dalaran thing at intro.

Everything else so far story wise hasn’t felt compelling or gripping. Legion and even BFA with its constant cutscenes and Alliance vs Horde stuff felt at the very least WoW at its core. Prior expansions never left me with a sense of detachment and I always read the quests/watched the cutscenes.

Zones and stories within the game these days to me feel like they leave the player detached from it for the most part. Compared to previous zones say like original tirsfal/plaguelands etc where you wanted to hear every NPCs story and read the quest. Years later you’ll still remember it.

The dungeons are good!!!

Apparently the next patches / xpac will feature horde characters more. It was a narrative choice to feature the alliance this time around and the horde in the later instalments.

Imagine paying for a video game and wanting to enjoy it to escape real life for awhile, then the company that makes said video game started hiring new writers and they started injecting more and more propaganda into the story, therefore the quality of the story suffers and the typical consumer who doesn’t care about your dumb propaganda or agenda gets less enjoyment out of the product he or she PAID for.

So, yeah, I’d say the OP, me, and whoever else has entitlement to complain about this on public forums.

So many mobs…
IMO it would be better if
decrease density by 20% and increase boss health by 20%

The core direction of the story is good, locales are fleshed out beautifully.

But the writing…

Dude I really wanted to like the characters but all of the dialogue is so slow and overdrawn out. Worse than Marvel movies because at least those actors brought their own interesting personalities into the characters.

I thought we moved passed this kind of stuff as a society after Game of Thrones set the bar. But here we are.

The characters talk to each other like its AI written by some suburbanite thats never left his neighborhood.

Basically millennial writing on full display.

Why is it propaganda? What is this supposed agenda the writers trying to accomplish exactly?

The story was made by a 14 year old girl for other 14 year old girls. I think blizzard assumes their game is filled with 14 year old girls. Very strange

I’m really not going to entertain that. Because you know exactly what I’m talking about. Baiter

If you guys really cared about it that much then you would unsub.

I can respect that. I’m enjoying TWW’s story so far and hope to see what characters like Thrall, Lor’themar or even Gazlowe are up to.

What you mean is you don’t want to say it out loud because it will put your mindset on full display. Gotcha.

What agenda exactly? Stop trying to construe things out of things that aren’t there.

Oh you’re right I would, but I don’t care about it THAT much. The core of the game is still fun enough to justify a sub. I can skip the cutscenes and mute the dialogue very easily and don’t have to listen to that BS. And wows story always kinda sucked, only really mattered in wrath. But I’m still going to complain about it, because it’s even worse than it was lmao. So, report me if you want

I literally made a post about all the reasons the game is good, but you only pay attention to the only political part, you make the post political.
