I was 205ish honor level and have the bound by honor title but today I noticed my honor level is 40 for some reason.
what the hell is going on
First thing to do - full UI reset to eliminate a display/corrupted addon issue.

you can see its 40 honor level on the armory so its not a display issue
If you feel it’s bugged, then you’ll need to submit a bug report either in the Bug report forum or using the in-game menu option.
Adjusting honor isn’t something that GMs can help.with unfortunately.
Generally speaking, these tend to either be display issues (which you’ve stated you don’t feel it is) or a user mistake, when no bug is involved.

Generally speaking I would agree. In this case though, if it just happened, we may be able to take a closer look. I can’t guarantee what we can do, but we can see.

Thank you I sent a ticket as well.
I found a similar problem via search and they said not to log into alts or it will “update” them to 40 also. Here is an alt I haven’t logged onto since last week. He has 205 honor level on the armory.

Compared to my main(my Warrior here) or other toons who now have 40 for some reason.
I’m not sure if its related but every time I log in, my toon re-earns a bunch of titles. I keep getting Dragonflight titles like Dream Defender every time I log in. This happened since the patch as well. I don’t really care about this but maybe it is related.

I am honor level 949 and have seen a lot of threads on this issue in the past few months. I would lose my mind if I lost 949 honor levels :@

Even if it is a templated response, if they say it’s a known issue and the Devs are trying to figure it out, that’s what’s happening. Will it be quick, easy, and something they can fix? That’s all a completely different question.
I hope they do figure it out for you, though. It’ll probably take a bit of time, though.

It seems pretty specific to your issue, Pigzig. 
The main reason I wanted you to put in a ticket was so that they could run logs for the loss and document it for the investigation. The logs are retained for a very limited amount of time so I wanted to make sure they had them.
Unfortunately, beyond that Support is unable to do more there. I believe any changes would need to come from our QA and Game Devs working to resolve the overall issue. If they can retroactively restore those they will, but it may take some time.

I mean, probably as much as all the other things that have gone missing. Like guild banks, warbank items/gold, warband currencies lost while transferring, assorted reputations, and tons of lost AH items. I don’t think any one of those have been restored yet. Maybe they’re just waiting to do them all together at the same time?
Not likely this is nothing like the warbanks warbanks had items going back years and mite not even still exist code wise honor is probably easier to track.
I am hoping we get answers on why this data loss happened, and how Blizzard will address it. Unlike the loss of the guild bank, there are many ways Blizzard can cross-examine old honor levels if this is in fact a full data wipe they cannot retrieve like the gbank loss.
I appreciate the Blue chiming in here and I hope we can continue to deliver visibility to this issue so that the people who CAN fix it, will see it.

Since someone bumped this anyway,
Im gonna note the achievement thing because it happened at the same time.

Both since the anniversary patch. Could be coincidence but it did happen same time and both are account wide things.
Also, probably doesn’t matter but I’ll note that this toon is from vanilla WoW and was on a different battle net account way back. I’ve seen stuff get credited way later like the Deathwheel mount I used to have on the old account randomly popped up years later.
Problem with bumping a thread is that it does no good in this situation it wont get passed on to the dev and anyone coming to this thread months or years down the line with a similar problem this information will probably not work better to post in the bug forum then to keep bumping a thread.
i would love to get anything from them…
yea even a “no your not getting anything back” would be cool but ya know…
Theyd have to open a ticket and see what a GM can verify if u read the blue post.
