THIS… NO ONE CARES what you do in your bedroom, who you are, what you consider yourself to be, etc. We all play WoW to ESCAPE the BS that is going on in today’s world. We don’t want “WOKE WOW” so keep your pronouns, your bedroom habits, who you identify as, etc. to yourself unless you befriend people who you feel comfortable with and they ASK. Otherwise, if you’re in a raid, LISTEN to your RL, and DO YOUR JOB. NO ONE CARES! TRUST ME!!! I DO NOT CARE nor does your average WOW player!!

If this story is true, making a thread about it on a public fourm isn’t the right step. OP you said you were sending the info to Blizzard? That should have been the course of action.
Making this thread just opens you up to the fourms fury and more hatred. With sensative stuff like this you need to take the proper channels. Besides no one can really help you here so if you are looking for action or help this won’t do anything and can possibly bring more pain with all of the people telling you what a troll you are for making the thread.
There are groups and such that can help out there vs random wow posters that enjoy fighting and hating on each other day in and day out. Don’t get caught up in this madness if you need help.

I have never been asked to do a “voice check” when joining a pug group Discord channel. Is this a thing?
Even being required to join a Discord channel is pretty rare in my experience. Maybe I just start pugging late in the cycles where it’s just expected to know fights and voice isn’t needed.

Did this take place in Discord or in WoW? Because Blizzard doesn’t own Discord and has no control or authority over what happens there, in much the same way that Discord has no jurisdiction or authority over what happens in WoW.
If you complain to Blizzard about being abused in Discord, they’re going to tell you to complain to Discord.

I’m betting it is edited. This is super sus since like half the pug heals I run into are female. This isn’t the 1990s where meeting a female in game made a solar eclipse look common.

When I lead my pug raids I used to require people to join discord but they didn’t need voice chat. I would do a check though to make sure they had joined the chat but it was never a voice thing. More a “Click no on the ready check so I know you are paying attention.”
I just wanted people in voice so if things went wrong I could stablize mid fight. Last thing you want is to be in the middle of a raid and have to do a tanking job and tell someone to spot rez or pick up for someone else who had died by typing.

You’re definitely lying about that. The days of speaking with a game master are over. They send you a reply to your complaint or problem even if you’re online. You don’t get to talk to them anymore.

That’s what I mean, I’ve joined pug Discords before but have never been asked to voice authenticate. It was always just used to keep everyone on the same strategy page. But, again, usually pug groups expect you to already know fights, unless they say Progression group or something similar.
I used to run Timewalking raids in wow and I was used to people either never having done Black Temple/Ulduar or it had been years so I voice chat explained each time lol.
TW Raids are a different animal, made even better with no chat for the luls.
I would never do that. You wipe on Supremus for example in BT and people have a good tendancy to give up. I have taken over a few BT raids I have been in because the raid lead just bolted when people wiped and they didnt’ know how to actually lead lol.
Hodir in my experience was the Uldar raid killer.

My wife and I have a girlfriend (the same girl) and date women as a couple, and its generally not something people are very excepting of. Both in real life and on the internet.
I find it interesting that maybe if we lived on the west or east coast we would feel more accepted, but living in the south there’s allot of hate. I also find that allot of people are rude and make assumptions about our relationship and say really derogative things on accident & on purpose.
