They might do something about the in game chat but they can’t do anything about what happens in Discord. They have no power there.

profit.
I’m really, really carefree and liberal when it comes to anyone’s sexuality or gender identity, but I have never seen any circumstance where it was relevant to a raid. I think either you were looking to cause a scene and get a reaction, or…
is more likely.
Because it is.
Also, even if it isn’t, it’s inappropriate to post it on the forums anyway.
I just keep my personal life to myself and I don’t have these problems.
See? There are some people out there that have Common Sense. I swear a majority I run across in my travels have difficulty chewing gum and walking at the same time.
Nice fake story. Try harder next time.
Channel name?
You know, I wouldn’t want cis-gendered folks talking about their relationship just as much as I wouldn’t you talking about your polyamourous relationship either. If I’m in a raid, I wanna focus on the raid, not congratulate every twink ever born.
I mean, if this was what the conversation was about and it was disruptive to the group, that’s why the OP got kicked, not because of what their relationships status is.
i would need to see the vid and see what happened for sure.
I’m not going to try to say this did or did not happen .
What I will say is this as others have as well. If in a Discord you don’t know and they ask that, why continue to stay in that channel and give more info than “yes I have a s/o” and leave it at that. Again if it did happen those should have been flags not to stick around and converse more with them about it.
yeah legit, 99% of people don’t care or are even excited about your relationship, I’m sure! I’m here to raid though, and if you and your partners are micspamming about yourselves, you are going to get kicked sorry
this. You don’t have to splurge your life story to answer a question
I am sorry to hear you all had such a sucky experience (and am also sad to see your post being flagged because you deserve better from this community).
You have done the right thing in reporting the bad behaviour, although Blizzard don’t view videos and such, they have full access to the chat recordings and can check things out themselves. Hopefully they will give those nasties an appropriate punishment.
Naturally many will comment and say you are lying or whatever, which there is no more proof of than any other post made here. So good luck in the future and I hope you get more fun out of your WoW play from here on. Perhaps find a guild or a community with friendly folk to play with.
I don’t believe this happened. I think you are lying. Very likely you got kicked for poor performance and trying to blame it on something else.
Or there was no group and u were never kicked. You are just making up a story to enrage the forums.
I came here to say this. As per usual, Red beat me to it.
No, I can believe they got kicked from a group, AND it’s likely they got kicked for talking about their relationship.
HOWEVER, I don’t believe they got kicked because of their relationship, which is the part I think they are lying about.
I’m 100% of the belief that if this is a true event, it was because they started talking about it when people wanted to raid. They were likely asked to stop, and went off about “being oppressed” or some such nonsense, and got kicked for that.
Thank you so much for showing a light of humanity and love in this otherwise bleak thread of people making the situation worse, thank you
Some people can’t go a day without discussing LGBT here on the forums so I guess it should be no surprise raids would be any different.
I think some LGBT folks must sign a contract agreeing that in order to be considered a part of the LBGT community all parts of their life must revolve around LGBT in some way. Their breakfast cereal, their job, their clothing and especially anything they do online.
