Hi forums.
I am a little sad. I cleared Kara last week with my irl friends and 3 pugs. Since then, my friends have decided to stop playing all together. This was triggered by one of my friends joining a hardcore raiding guild after he made a big deal out of us playing together In tbc.
What do I do… I don’t really like playing WoW solo. Guilds are good but I’ve had some bad experiences…
My server, arugal, doesn’t have many chill guilds.
I’m a tank too, would rather dps (and even pvp over everything else) but warriors aren’t that sort after…
I’m leveling my alt mage…but I’m thinking maybe my tbc time is up.
Really depressing, I was having fun with my friends
I am posting this on my alt.

Stand tall, or short.
They have succumbed to the shiny things. Real friends would stand by your side. The good thing is that it is summer time. Go, Live life in the sun my friend. You aren’t alone.

Sorry, subby.
Maybe take a break for a couple days, go outside, evaluate while you sit in the sun.

I’m sorry man that’s a real bummer. The friend that left the guild to go be hardcore better have deeply bowed when apologizing. I’d be pissed as heck. I already was late to classic because some friends who had hyped it up never started playing and I was waiting for them sometimes you really gotta be selfish and look out for yourselves in these situations just as insurance

I’m sad, too, because your friend is a jerk tbh. He ditched you guys to play then leaves you in the dust. Wow. I hope something good comes to you OP, I hope you find a good guild and better friends or something.
I have an IRL friend that also does this. We start playing a game together because he wants to play it so I follow him and he’s super into it and then poof

Made a new friend on the empty realm of Skerum, He was tanking for us and we liked him. We helped him get his pally charger… and he then Xfered off. Just goes to show you…

Arugal has tons of chill guilds man. If you want to find a new guild just be flexible with your role preferences and don’t be afraid to jump ship if a guild gives off bad energy. Your sweaty friend will likely be done with kara in a couple of months and can help you run through it with others.

TBC is fleshing out really bad on rosters and raiding. The breaking down of a 40 person roster to 25 has led to guilds either abandoning 15 people or trying to make 2 raids which is a pain. Lots of people are feeling left behind in the shifting of rosters and without a good group of people to raid with it’s just not worth it. You’ll find a home if you look hard enough but like you said, playing a warrior might not be in the cards. We can’t find many people who care to heal anymore.
This was a thing even back in vanilla tbc. Id stick with warrior tanking as I trust it most as a healer. Bears scare me and pallies arent real great until gear comes along.
The dude basically said dueces once he learned y’all wasn’t up to speed with him. You either full sweat or you don’t LOL.

It’s more so for tank spots. Finding heroic groups is easy, finding a raid team is not.

Warrior tanks are awesome even with lesser gear. It sounds like your raid leads are block heads.
Arugal (which I am also on) is a mega server and I see guilds looking for warrior tanks all the time. OP will be fine.

Not about the class its about the amount of raid spots, you generally want to diversify your tank team instead of just 3 warriors.

From what you’re saying, you were playing the game mostly to play with your friends. If they’re gone, do you even have a desire to keep playing? If not, then don’t

the thing is he wasn’t even in pre-bis and we were. He bought 6k gold from a website for his flying when he hit 70, and then only logged on to kara with us. Lucky for him he was the only hunter and a bunch of gear dropped for him so he looks extremely geared- but its artificial.
It’s just really sad that we made a guild and were gunna just do content together (we are irl friends) and as soon as someone approaches him he dips. quite dog
