Title speaks for itself. Paying a subscription for a product that you can’t play is unacceptable. Imagine trying to watch a Netflix show and having to sit in a 10 hour queue. My friends and I and my wife cancelled our subscriptions last night. I haven’t been able to log in since Wotlk dropped. I only have a couple hours at most to play each night.
Curious if any other people have cancelled for similar reasons? I sure would love to play the game but simply can’t… I was active throughout TBC classic with no server queues until prepatch leading up to and after Wotlk dropped.

That has got to be frustrating and I don’t blame you at all. it would be different if blizz even seemed like they were trying to address queues but there is just nothing

Same I stepped away for about 8 minutes and came back to the login screen and then a 10k queue. I’m done with this game. Ole Bobby and anyone that supports him are ignorant little idiots

Yeah… We were so excited to play too. TBC was a blast and Prepatch was so fun (when we could log in). We were on a different server early on but everyone left on our faction so we paid to transfer. I vowed to never pay again and played on Benediction with no issues. I don’t want to take a free transfer and then pay to leave again when/if it dies like my last server did… sigh.

Facing the same issue, me and a handful of people that play together all took the free transfer and now are loving the game.

u know whats funny about all these “i canceled” threads
the queues will be fixed in under a month and you’ll resub, so ur not even saving 15$

Doubt it… I would expect queues until about week 3 of ulduar
Nah there are free versions out there that don’t have these queue issues.

okay… but I’m sure there’s people out there that DO NOT want to play pservers.
im not sure how this is relevant
Its a sad situation that there was 0 problems for most of the large servers until the prepatch.
Blizz could have easily locked the servers well beforehand. But instead failed at doing so and decided to try to push ppl to transfer.

ya I get 2 maybe 3 hours to play tops, if I got on at 9 and saw a long queue I would feel the same. That being said I play on a low horde population server but I am in a good guild so it works out.
the only thing that sucks about low pop servers is if you plan on going it alone and pugging everything
Same here. I have a few characters on Faeralina. Couldn’t play Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday due to long ques. Finally decided yesterday to just transfer to another server.
Pros:
- I can play the game
- a few friends started and or boosted characters on the same realm
Cons:
- I left behind my old server community of people I played with
- I left behind my old server with a better AH
- New server may die after the influx (honeymoon) phase of the WoTLK launch

Yeah unfortunately a few of my friends feel this killed all the hype for them because our guild is going to be running Naxx and we can’t get in and we don’t want to look for another guild that needs all of our exact classes unless we just PUG. It just sucks so bad. I see all these people hitting 80 and I haven’t even gotten past the queue…
you’re really not missing much man. naxx is really easy and you’ll be able to pug it too to fill in the weeks u missed w/ ur guild
Your choices are sit in a queue for 10+ hours if you’re unlucky when you step away from your computer. I think a lot more people will be looking into these pservers soon and noone could really blame them.

Pservers aren’t even on my list of choices I have instead of sitting in bene queue. infact i haven’t even seen anybody going back to pservers, you’d think i’d read it somewhere, in game, friends, on the forums
Blizzard already got $75 out of me when they killed Sulfuras and I had to transfer off, It’d be autistic AF to accept their transfers now without some guarantee that they’ll keep the server alive or give another free transfer to a server of your choice.
Why didn’t you and your friend group take a free transfer?
