My faith in players has been restored!

Went into LFR because I was missing a pair of boots for transmog. (I swear, it’s always the boots for me. LOL)

Last boss of wing 1 Aberrus drops them. Two dropped!

I lost the roll on both.

:dracthyr_cry_animated:

I said, “Aww, sadface, I lost both rolls on the boots.” Then left group.

The hunter then invited me to group and said I could have them. I asked if they were sure, because it’s just transmog and they said, “This stuff is obsolete tomorrow anyway.”

And there we go. I has my boots, because nice player.

:dracthyr_heart:

Has anyone else recently had their faith in the playerbase restored?

Yesterday i was running old content on my melee character and another player came along, a ranged hunter.

They kept killing things in the area before i could reach them. So i left to farm elsewhere.

They followed me killing everything i wanted.
No matter where i went, they followed.

No, my faith has not been restored XD

Nope never had faith in the playerbase to begin with :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

When I do a time rift and it’s the ship where you have to take a rocket thing to get to the other ship, I stand a good chance at missing out on the boss completely because I’m slow and everyone kills him so fast.

Tonight there was a tauren player that not only didn’t kill him too fast but also led the boss out so I could get a shot off on my little goblin hunter.

I thought that was cool. It always seems to be a tauren that does things like that.

That’s only when you are online. Once you log off, they talk mad trash about you.

So when I was first playing in Vanilla, I was in Hillsbrad Foothills (EDIT - It might’ve been Arathi Highlands. It’s where that pirate event was) and needed help in a quest on the east side, which I think involved an elite? But there were no Alliance around. So along comes this Tauren with a kitten pet who helped me. The moment I hit max level, I made a Tauren Shaman named Kitties, and he’s been my alt-main for 20 years.

That’s okay! As long as they’re having fun.

Just becareful of that one cheeky Warlock. You know which one I mean. Yeah, we ask to nerf DH’s, but he’ll probably ask to also nerf Evokers next :joy: :joy: :joy:

Truthfully though, I found that most of the people I have met here on the forums are some of the nicest players. Sure, we all had our disagreements, arguments, downfalls, and everything else, but truthfully, most that I have met here, have been amoung the nicest within the community. And it is because of the forums that I always still have faith within the playerbase. And although yeah, there is still stuff that goes on within the forums that we all may not see eye to eye on, it isn’t about agreeing with one and another on everything that kept my faith with the community, it is the times when we all just have fun, have laughs, have jokes, or share stories with each other.

There are conscious and good thinking people out there. Happy for you.
LOR Gandalf had his faith in the small things of ‘kindnesses’ … may we continue that in a world of darkness.

This same kind of thing happened to me too. I almost never run LFR, but there was this one LFR belt in WoD which is PERFECT. I ran that part of LFR a good bit trying to get it, never winning. (My rolls are almost always terribad.) Then one time, it dropped (remember this was personal loot in WoD) and the person who won it had better. I whispered them saying that belt tmog was the only reason I kept coming in and was there any chance they didn’t need it.

I expected to be ignored, but they were like “hey, sure you can have it!” I was so thrilled. I still wear the tmog today – I’ve never once used another belt tmog since I got it.

(For those curious, I think it was originally called the “Crystal Buckle Belt”, but for some reason at some point my tmog name for it changed to “Warmongering Combatant’s Waistguard of Prowess”.)

A lot of good players out there, to be honest. We, as humans, have a Negativity Bias, which means that a few bad interactions will impact us more than a substantially greater amount of good ones. It’s great to see these positive moments be celebrated! Thanks for sharing OP.

Well, lately all I am experiencing is good people. No toxicity, no drama. Pure fun.

Ironically most of the time Ive seen this behavior, its literally MY faction doing it.
I expect the enemy faction to behave like that, theyre just acting out on this ‘war’ concept.
But youd THINK your own faction wouldnt behave this way, but there have been a number of times where theyve caused me to problems getting quest objectives finished so I could turn them in…say killing the NPC youre trying to get to over and over, them being max level so they can one shot it before you can even get a shot off as a lowbie.

Actually, just a continual broken faith with the player base.

Thanks for the 5 minutes lost and annoyance
