I need to somehow log the total amount of CC I can output compared to a good caster. Not that hunter CC is bad, but it’s weird to me that any caster would think their CC somehow doesn’t compare, especially with how busted Precog is. That said, I’m sure the range of ability really changes this. Good casters already were getting CC. Now those good casters are gods.
Why even bother? Our classes don’t fill the same role exactly. I don’t think either of them would nor should expect them to be similar.
There’s some seriously fried takes, especially from warlocks, about how annoying micro cc is (they will say this while they havoc coil an entire team, spam fear, shadowfury, infernal stun) and don’t even get me started on demo apes.

Don’t be confused, this thread wasn’t a complaint. I got out of a match with a resto druid and boomkin on the other team and I think they had about 30 cyclones between them. They still lost.
I think a lot of casters get that precog buff these days and their first thought is to CC. I’m sure people will get better with how to use that time. Regardless, some games end in being a ton of CC going out. Even before procog, boomies were putting out a lot of CC. Now it just goes overboard.
Lock design is awful now. Every lock spec is using every CC to get kills. I GET IT. I really, but the fact they are putting out enough damage they don’t even need CC on the healer, but rather on the kill target just says something is broken.
The risk reward with kicks right now is busted. Was in a match with an affliction lock that did as much damage as the other 3 dps combined and more healing then the healer. Why? Because the braindead DH on my team was kicking on cooldown and missed all but two of them.

Because it sounds like they did no damage or healing haha. There’s definitely such a thing as too much cc. Wrong times right before their go is going to happen, not doing enough pressure, etc.
Yep yep. The resto was trying to clone targets low and mostly stopped the from killing anything. =/

Sort of. I think it’s more that boomkin already had good tools to cast cyclone. Those tools didn’t change and then they were given more tools.

I’m curious to your answer though, why do you think cyclone feels so OP now? What specifically about the changes makes the game feel different regarding cc say compared to, slands?

every cc going from season 1 to now except for fear and cyclone has stayed relatively the same with the direct nerfs blizz did to them this season. however, the set bonus reduction is now gone and they never nerfed cyclone so by comparison, its become much longer than previously
coupled with the fact its a full immunity and nothing, but trinket and mass dispel break it, it’s no wonder it’s so complained about now. least undead and damage can break fears
