This character is missing essential API data according to raider.io this is what is wrong with my toon, i had to look it up using a mythic i did with a guildie. i transferd from different server and used a name that iu had saved using a new char on server i deleted that new char and used its name. i go to update armroy or riader.io both and my toon is not there its the old one that was lvl 10. @blizzard plz helps
Unfortunate the armory is notoriously buggy couple things can update it logging in and out resetting password or weekly maintence.
sorry my guy that doesn’t work and isn’t even the problem. when the toon transferred some data was left behind as my old toon is still listed on my list as a active toon.
Unfortunately it realy possible to force update the armory other then what i said. The armory isntvrealy a high prority its been buggy for years.
The armory on this site operates on it’s own time frame. Sometimes it works like it is supposed to, a lot of the time there can be a delay in it updating. A lot of the time, any delays usually are handled with reset on Tuesdays.
What you can try is to log in and out of the forums. If that doesn’t work, try changing your password. Past that, there isn’t anything you or anyone else can do to give it the nudge it needs to update. Speaking personally, I know it’s taken a few days now for my character here to update her outfit and information.
The best thing to do is to make a post on the Website Bug forum and/or the API Bug forum. Mind you, it’s one way communication, you’re not likely to get a response but the more people who are reporting it, the bigger data pool they have to work with to try and pinpoint why so many people are having this issue.
While it’s inconvenient, it’s not game-breaking. You can log into your character without problem. That the armory isn’t updating for third-party websites? Technically Blizzard could decide tomorrow to break the way it interacts with third-party sites. It’s not really that big of an issue, save for the player-created problem that players depend on these websites.
But until that time comes (or doesn’t), please do report the bug in the proper locations. They’ll hopefully get it figured out and fixed soon for you guys. It’s not just you with the transfer muck, it’s just not updating as it should be for regular characters either.
