She’s been asking me what weeks I need every week since then.
What kind of company does this? You can’t possibly schedule your vacation with forced deadlines. That would be months in advance.

You could try to play it safe and ballpark some phase 1 time, even if it’s not on-release. Maybe July?
Well, it’s better than the usual “use it or lose it” vacation policies I’ve lived with.
At least you get to schedule a vacation. Classic launched right when the Fall semester started. Took me like 2 months to level my druid. Nearly 2 more to level this toon. Then the plague hit.

Best guess?? Someone datamined 18th of may as a possible date for the prepatch. (Yes, I know that doesn’t mean squat.) This date is 1-2 mos after the start of beta which, I’m given to understand, jives with previous releases after a beta. So I would suggest you consider June as a possible vacation time.
Just quit, then you have every hour of every day off.
It sounds like you need to unionize.
I get three weeks a year, but what I don’t use over one week gets lost come Jan 1. I can only carry over one week max. I plan on using all four weeks at the end of the summer. I was forced to use two weeks at Christmas.
Vacation time is counted against a company’s accounting sheets. So any accrued vacation time is considered ‘money owed’. They aren’t being mean. Especially if they are a public company traded on the stock market this can be very detrimental the the company’s spreadsheets. Especially if they are employee’s like me…who never take vacation just about and accrue months of it.
Anyways…TLDR…there’s a reason they pressure you to use it. or lose it.
So either you are not using the days you accrued and the company is just forcing you to use them or you just want the release date like everyone else. Though mostly companies dont force people you just dont get more.
We have similar discussions in my company at the end of the financial year. I’m hoping that may 18th is launch and not prepatch as I don’t like my chances of getting time off in june/july
zero chance of launch on may 18th with beta just coming up.
Gotta admit, it was nice learning something, and reading am adult oriented post that isn’t a bunch of petulant childs screaming about each other about their glad rankings, their “skill”, and boosts.
Not exactly sure that is legal. If so, I am sorry you live in a state that does not care to protect its workers.
