Show us a Blood Elf calling themselves/wanting to identify themselves as a High Elf and you would have a point here.
If Iâm getting harassed or being trolled, Iâm going to flag the post. Iâve been told to do as much by the GMâs.
Iâm not responsible for someone deciding to be vitriolic.
We could call ourselves Horde High Elves but that would be unpatriotic.
Youâre the one making a statement about it to a conversation as if it should matter, Iâm merely asking for evidence to back up such a statement.
Again, show me proof of where High Elves are allowed to go back to their homes/families in Silvermoon aka show High Elves mingling with Blood Elves in their home sort of like yâknow how we can see High Elves living in Stormwind, an actual Alliance city/home among the people of the Alliance.
Spoiler alert: the Sunwell isnât a home, itâs more like a religious site akin to a Mosque or what not. Which also the allowance of that was succeeded by the slaughtering of Blood Elves by High Elves in MoP.
Please provide current proof of statements you make in attempt to strengthen an argument youâre putting forth.
Otherwise we can just spout random stuff all day and end it with: FACT
Merely saying something doesnât make it true.
I always hear âweâ as if us players speak for the lore of the game. We donât. Iâm not sure where this behavior started from.
Blood Elves never go around calling themselves High Elves, âthe true High Elvesâ, nor even have given any hint of such things. Until thatâs provided, itâs straight headcanon to do so.
If we were to go by headcanon then an Allied Race system wouldnât have to exist in the first place. Everyone âcould call themselvesâ whatever they wanted.
Uh huh. Youâve interacted with your side of this? Or is this just something you selectively do?
Iâll respond to you with a quote of mine.
I donât think you understood my statement. For instance look at Sincubusâ post. Him making a character named âHighelfâ doesnât speak for the lore of the game.
I could go and make an Orc named âHighelfâ too, it doesnât make Orcs high elves. I hope youâre understanding what is being said, which is, what we do as player characters has no bearing on the lore of the game.
This is why WoW is a âthemepark MMOâ, weâre just here for the ride.
He asked one group, who werenât even part of the Alliance to come back. He did not go around spreading news everywhere âall High Elves welcome back homeâ.
I donât see how this supports âLorâthemar allows any high elvesâ.
And those high elves refused. Clearly showing they donât want to be part of what the Blood Elves are. Then Lorâthemar just gave up after that. Oh and then MoP and the Purge of Dalaran happened where a bunch of High Elves slaughtered Blood Elves.
Yeah Iâm sure theyâre super welcome after that display. (/s in case one canât understand the sarcasm of this sentence).
Guys, the self-identifying as a high elf thing was just a bit of a meme.
Alert the press!
You didnât understand mine? Or when youâre just lashing out it isnât necessary to?
Thatâs a restriction YOU placed so you could pick a fight.
Then why are you even here? Stop bothering people on the forums and enjoy the ride.
But I think they should have more classes for all races?
Um, this is easily proven by the fact that the story of WoW heads in one direction regardless of whether you play it or not.
You appear pretty aggressive just because I asked another random poster to provide evidence for their statement. If they canât, they canât.
Just providing clarity on what a headcanon statement is and what isnât while I sip my morning coffee, whatâs the harm here?
Dude, it was a joke. Stop carrying on like a pork chop.
Meekdohâs statement? I know Sincubus was joking. Meekdoh didnât seem to be by further engaging with their thought process of their own statement.
I would too actually.
The entire thing is a joke. The premise of self-identifying as a high elf was not meant to be a serious discussion.
