Hmm, I notice a handful more High Elf threads popping up now that the megathread isnāt available.
What I like though that I see is people participating on the pro-side of the discussion who have never been in the megathread themselves.
Maybe it was too intimidating for them? idk, but Iām glad to see others taking up the cause.
At the most basic rights of it all, any topic related to the game should be able to be spoken about.
Just because thereās an argument against something, doesnāt mean we donāt read it or send it along to the Development Team with notes.
If I look through the threads, there are thousands of contributors over the course of the entire discussion, so your point just doesnāt ring true.
I think there are obviously certain people more passionate about certain topics than others, but I personally like to err on the side of āpeople should be free to discuss what they want, pertaining to the game, as much as they wantā.
Miss both Ornyx and Ythisens very much. Two of the better CMs Iāve ever seen.

I quoted most of the response that was posted on the discord by the person who was trying to get an official answer on what to do about the high elf thread. Go read the whole thing for yourself if you donāt believe I posted the most important information.

The request for playable Alliance High Elfs started in the Vanilla WoW Betaā¦ before Blood Elves bacame playable, you are already wrong and the needs to be nothing more than this fact to prove it.

I hate to break it to you but no one in this game can play a High Elf they are not playable. if you feel I am wrong just check the character creation screen, they are not there. At best you can roll play a different playable Elf or other Alliance race as a High Elf, but sorry the fact is they are not playable by either faction.

Really? You play a Blood Elf not a High Elf stop being so willfully ignorant of the simple fact that High Elves are not playable. In order for them to be playable you have to be able to create one on the games character creation screen it is that simple. And the bottom line is until you can go to the character creation screen and see the words High Elf on it they are not playable.

Correct I am a Human who plays a video game where the in game avatar just happens to be a Void Elf Warlock, much the same as you are Human who plays a video game whose in game avatar happens to be a Undead Priest or Maghar Priest not sure the forums having a different avatar icon by your characters name than your characterās

I know weāre at each otherās throats pretty much, but after putting in a toe for a nice make fun of person with serious opinions about how warcraft is that donāt match up with reality (Cataclysm turned Warcraft from generic medieval fantasy into steampunk nonsense!) only to find I missed the scummy undercurrents in the post because I stopped reading the wall of text. I just want to say something.
Thank you all for the fact that as far as I can tell, weāre all just bickering about pixel elves and no one has brought real world racist diatribes in. Thank you.
