My argument for adding High Elves to the Alliance

Perhaps not lethal, but it was stated those who were magically based class such as mages, would suffer permanent physical/mental damage if they did not feed.
in anycase, Ia m not sure how debating this aspect of the lore pertains to high elves being playable.

100%.

Would it maker a lot of players happy? Yes. Is it gamebreaking in any way? No. Then it’s a workable idea.

That’s all there is to it. Anything complication beyond that is simply a hurdle that can be overcome with some decent writing and creative design.

yeah, screw how it would affect anyone else!
Screw choice!

EVERY RACE FOR EVERY FACTION!

Weren’t they super evil or something? Eh, I’m sure they could fix in in a quest line.

I’m chill with them for the Alliance. It would add flavor.

Yeah! Take my words out of context! Hyperbole forever!

Pirate Humans for Horde!
Make Gnomes nuetral race!
Blue eyes for Blood Elves!
Horde Wildhammer Dwarfs!
Blue Lightforged Forsaken!

LET’S DOOOOOOOOO IT!

It wouldn’t.

We want the High Elf fantasy. Not the Blood Elf one.

We don’t have that in the game currently.

Were they allies or just caught up in the mass teleport? There was a bit of everything really, some saberon and such that were all in the background and ran away.

as for the high elves being some kind of source of happiness for you, we dont care. firstly because the majority of horde players would want to prioritize the integrity of our faction over the meagre happiness they bring to a very small minority. secondly because we just got a group of alliance elves diametrically opposed to the blood elves with whom we have a genuine beef. the void elves are clear rivals. i enjoy killing void elf traitors in PVP. as the high elves embrace the light, the void elves embrace the shadow. there is no room for a 3rd playable faction of thalassian elves, let alone one that is biologically and thematically identical to one of them

We don’t care about your opinion either, and neither should the devs. Horde players simply should not factor into this discussion at all. Your opinion concerning things Alliance players get is irrelevant.

How dare you point out that my request was selfish and uncaring of the possible impacts on a large scale?

So…blood elf players are not affected that their unique character stops being unique because players on a DIFFERENT faction want the same thing?

You can paint it however you want, but it is intellectually dishonest to say “well i care about the high elf fantasy.”.
Okay, so why not be a convert to high elf culture as a void elf?
If aesthetics were meaningless you would do as some high elves did when they went blood elf, and go from blood elf to high elf.

Since, as we have established and as lore established, the differences were political anyway.

Yup, that’s how opinions work. Except if the Devs should care about yours, they should also care about ours. Not just because our money is just as good as yours, but because most of us also play Alliance.

Yeah no, the developers care very much what half of their player bse thinks because, you know, they make up a large chunk of money and hold the more hardcore players.

Decisions are not made in a vacuum, and you don’t get to be selfish because you don’t play this game by yourself.

We all know this is why they won’t do it, lol.

Again, nope. You think you’re more important than you really are, regarding this topic.

All that matters is the actual amount of interest in the Alliance playerbase regarding playable High Elves. The devs won’t care one wit about random forum Horde posters being salty about it.

If its anything Alliance the Horde instantly hate it.

“Hey, we are giving the Alliance an evil king next Expansion.”

“NO! THAT’S OUR STORY LINE!”

You are right, which is why they said flat lut.

If you want to play a pale elf, the horde is waiting for you.
The hypocrist of your words is the fact you declare others are feeling more important than they are, when you literally are saying all that matters is you.
Sorry. It doesnt work that way and it never has worked that way.

Your importance is as great as anyone elses.

Because their character would still be unique because they would be Blood Elves and have the Blood Elf lore/story/themes/appearances.

So no. It won’t.

Yeah, that’s why it’s a request. We can’t play that right now.

It doesn’t matter if you believe it.

Because they reprezent to Void Elf culture. Which ironically is derived from the Blood Elf culture.

Keep saying that, it doesn’t make it true. We can look at the Lore/Books/Game anytime and see this is not the case.

I like how you claim to be a Blood Elf fan but ignore all their development that makes them their own unique thing when it suits your arguments.

That is perception bias. I find the same thing when it comes to any controversial topic. You need to demonize the other sode, because if you remember they are human like you and me, you feel bad.

Tell this to her.

“Since you are the minority faction, your opinion doesn’t matter.”

Notice how it says ‘We don’t care’ when the message is to Blizzard, not the Horde.
