Today I changed the email address of my account. It was GMAIL and I changed it to mail dot com since I’m trying to get off google entirely. The email change went easily and as it should, no snags. But when I log into the account using my new email address it takes me to a very, very old account that hasn’t been used since 2013 with a btag I don’t even recognize. What can I do to get into my correct and current account? Thank you.
Oddly, my current account is still logged into the forum and usable, this is posting from it.
If there’s an old account under that other e-mail address, then it’s unlikely that you’d be able to move your current account there as e-mail addresses can only be used once for battle.net accounts.

All I can say is that it let me transfer my account email to the other email and I had no idea there was an old account on it. There wasn’t even a blip of the issue with the account email change. Overview shows the unused since 2013 account. Can’t find my main’s actual account anywhere now.
I take it you tried with your original g-mail address too right? I’m assuming you did, just asking to be sure

Opening a ticket now, thanks. Yes, good idea but attempting to log in with the gmail address states that the account doesn’t exist. When I click on Heff in the upper-right corner of this forum page and go to account it only shows the old 2013 account with no characters, game time, etc.
From what I can see the account you are currently logged into has the character Heff on it.
Minus the numbers after #, what’s the battletag of this new account you see?

I would agree with Perl, if you are having trouble accessing the account, put in a ticket. You’ll likely need to provide verification you are the registered user but a Game Master should be able to help straighten out the issue.
Trying to log in using cognativeweeds says We can’t find that Blizzard Account.

Unfortunately, before the @ isn’t the same as your previous email nor the @mail one you referenced. Best I can tell you publicly is it starts with an M.
Yes, and its the name of an old band. It states that blizzard account cant be found.
OK, sorry, it’s working. I wasn’t being very cognitive when I kept spelling it cognative. It’s a new email, I won’t make that mistake again. Thank you.
