Two back to back matches on my evoker at 1200-1300 team MMR.
-17 CR for a loss.
+6 CR for a win.
Just an absolute joke of a system that keeps putting my high win rate characters in super low MMR matches and not doing the same to my characters with mid range win rates. So, the mid range (50% win rate characters) are climbing CR faster than my 82% win rate characters.
In before: “don’t worry, if you play 14 more matches like that it will fix itself”
Do you know how to read? I clearly state this is happening because my evoker keeps getting placed at extremely low team MMRs. That is the problem I am pointing out here.
Here, I will quote myself and put it into bold so you might be able to understand the issue.

This really does seem to be true, though. It is a serious grind even for above average players. I am looking at a boomy who is currently 2865 rated after 260 matches, and they were only 1555 rated after 25 matches.
I “think” your MMR has to fall below your CR before you will lose rating. If you’ve only won 1 of your first 10 games you can’t have more than 192 CR, so…
I actually don’t mind them capping CR gains once you reach a certain level if it is putting me in a team MMR range that actually makes sense. I’m fine with that and it is somewhat necessary.
What I mind is consistently getting placed in 1200-1300 team MMR matches. Why bother winning if it punishes you for doing so? The entire issue is getting placed into the low MMR matches, much lower than the MMR range I should be getting.
And that is an issue that is popping up at all MMR ranges.
This right here is my top candidate for the main issue with blitz. Its not properly factoring in that individual players have way less control over each given match. You can’t punish MMR the same way that you do in 2s or 3s where losing to a team 400 MMR below you is almost impossible, and only happens if you deserve to tank.
I don’t think that has anything to do with MMR really. My rogue is 15-5 and only 1660 something CR. That was the pace of this char as well, or at least very similar. Even if you are playing 1000 mmr over your CR, you only gain 20-25 CR a win.
Good we needed one more post about this thanks. Blizzard needs to teach people what mmr is and how it works so all these people can stop making 200 posts a day.
Do you think that a person with 8 wins and 0 losses should be put into a 1400 match or with 8W 1L getting 1200-1300 MMR matches? Should they at least be placed in a higher MMR match at least once?
“You are where you belong” Guess I should have won 300% of my games. And, I saw your snark about wanting to be 2900 MMR when I specifically said I don’t expect to be placed into 2000+ MMR games with only nine games played, but also don’t expect to get placed into 1200 matches with 8W and 1L.
Do the teams you beat or lose against have any effect on your “placement” coming out of the placement games?
This is not a problem if you are being placed in team MMR games that make sense. Yes, everyone’s CR gain hits diminishing returns.
The problem is getting placed into matches much lower than your personal MMR where you get little for a win and take a massive setback if you lose.
