Pretty sweet changes imo
Not sure how the Jade Bond people feel because I don’t really use Jade Bond ever — thoughts?

“Cooldown changed from 3 min cooldown to 2 min cooldown”
Still 1 min cooldown if main spell got reduced to 2 is how I am reading it.

The base cooldown is being reduced to 2 minutes, so it is 2-1=1
These are all buffs and numbers tuning mostly, you can still talent into 1 min celestial. Check out the talents on the 11.1 calculator and it will make more sense.
Basically:
Yu’Lon/Chi Ji 's base cooldown is being reduced to 2 min baseline. ( it was 3 mins ) This is good.
Gift of the celestials will now reduce the cooldown of Yu’Lon or Chi’Ji by 1 min. Has the same effect of bringing your celestial to 1 min cd.
Previously with Jade bond you were mostly trying to get your celestial to just under a 2 min cd by fitting in enough gusts of mists. Depending on damage patterns, other healers, and other factors you might have had to overheal to proc more gusts to get to the 2 min mark.
With the 11.1 change you don’t have to worry about whether or not you procc’d enough gust of mists to reduce to 2 mins now. Plus jade bond gets a neat enveloping mist proc post chi cocoons, and a decent buff to yu’lon or Chi’Ji. With Celestials on 2 min base cd this might be a strong talent in m+ imo.
From Blizz:
-Celestial Harmony is being buffed/numbers tuning
-Env Breath from Yu’Lon is getting a buff/numbers tuning
-Chi Cocoon will scale in strength whether it you have Jade bond or Gift but also looks like it is getting a small buff.
-Jade Empowerment, Lotus Infusion, and Yulon’s Whisper ( lol ) get small buffs ( seriously just delete Yu’Lon’s Whisper )
No comment for the heart of jade, seems like a QoL change in that it reduces what you need to track ( their words ) but meh. Kinda wish they would have made the effect trigger/proc off something other than Sheilun’s.
How’s mistweaver looking for 11.1? Any chance with these cocoon changes they rival disc? Absorptions if played well can be more impactful than direct healing.
FYI, I’m a BrM but want to switch to mistweaver (potentially) for 11.1
I would say so far so good.
While the chi cocoons will be stronger with Jade Bond I dont think full absorbs is intended gameplay on any healer tbh - and I doubt they will be significantly stronger than they are now. That said Disc will still more than likely be stronger in terms of absorbs is my guess. Even with Rapture gone you can chain PW:Shields together as Oracle with Premonition’s of insight/Clairvoyance and have a huge ST absorb with Premonition of Solace, plus i hear Luminous Barrier might have some tier synergy ( not sure yet ). So if you are looking for absorb heavy oracle disc might be the way. ( I think you can check out paly too but I dont play paly so no idea )
So they are reducing the baseline CD of Chi ji to 2 min? I didn’t catch that in the notes but I’ll take your word if you’ve been on the PTR
Monk gonna be lit next patch
It’s in the notes AND on the 11.1 wowhead talent calculator.
Dang I guess I suck at copying notes then whoops. I’ll try to update my OP
How do y’all feel about the Jade Bond changes?
Interesting for those Fistweavers without Haste/Mast, overkill for those who do.
Switching back to GotC because there’s no more High Risk, High Reward, which is fine enough since it was so volatile in current patch, and next patch the class would’ve been absurdly overtuned if it stayed the way it was on PTR.
Getting under 2 minutes even on single target was really easy for FW’s. Not sure about Yu’Lon players though. Seems like it was heavily detrimental for their side.
I see this as much more of a win for them than Chi’Ji, but that doesn’t mean I see it as bad.
The amount of buffs it would need to be taken would likely be like x7 more than what it already is.
Very strong in all content.
Unsure if the best though.
Your MW was yummy
We already do this. Chi-ji is our strong fist weaving ramp. There’s just so many things you cannot outheal without it, especially sustained ongoing damage or where spot healing large packs is ineffective for more than a second or two. Trying to make chi cocoon better is a good step especially with it enabling mist ramp by spreading around mists assuming rising sunkick can still increase the duration of these it’s ok I think. The reasoning in their note tho feels off to me. I don’t use jade bond but this is making me curious to try it again. I have to assume this is for raid realistically though where I still prefer lower CD talent.
That’s good considering their our ramp and only constantly ongoing healing that we can pump aside from mists. I will still likely run the talent that makes chichi a 1min cd anyway.
I dislike JE so strongly and this change continues the trend of making it mandatory in m+
But not conduit, dance, and jadewind, got it.
Thank god now uncap it. Why is it tied to number of targets? The amount it heals in high damage scenarios can often feel negligible without crits and the damage it does in multitarget/cleave is less than an unempowered spinning crane kick in large groups. I hope the number at least finally makes sense in single target as an alternative to MoH+JE but I have serious strong doubts about this.
Love this, honestly. I sometimes cast conduit just to get the Conduit CDR regardless of whether or not I should try to save conduit for something else. The CDR and Damage reduction are currently the only desirable things and the DR needs tuned up to 20% imo. 15% is good but 20% would be gooder and make it actually capable of taking the place of a defensive which is how i often use it outside of CDR or single target damage during burn phase.
I give em a 4/10 needs more work
LOL I feel you here I wished they made a clear distinction here. SCK for fistweavers, JE for stand’n’cast.
This is going to get nerfed in pvp so hard
