Have sylvanas fans figured out that like 80% of the playerbase wont be happy till sylvanas is dead, yet?

Rastakhan and the Zandalari had nothing to do with Teldrassil. That is the entire issue with saying that was payback for Teldrassil. It was no such thing.
The biggest problem with Rastakhan was that he was Zul’s enabler. Even that wasn’t a big enough deal for either the Alliance or the Horde to settle accounts with him.
Then you make it plain as day he was getting stuffed in a fridge for Talanji’s character development. That was obvious from the moment Talanji showed up. There is no investment for the character on Ally side cause he was plainly and clearly a throwaway character from the moment he was actually put into the game. He was just another raid boss like all the other ones.
The fleet’s destruction looked cool but by then we already knew the status quo reset button was being pressed next patch. Ultimately meaningless.
The entire things came off as the writers throwing scraps to the Alliance to try and mollify the players. They intended to kill Rastakhan and destroy the fleet regardless so they let the Alliance do it cause it was meaningless if the Alliance did it or Azshara did it. They just needed to escape their Teldrassil debacle.

Ordinarily, i would say “yea, kill Slyvanus and Nathanos.” Problem is the Horde does not have many major characters left of note, and most of which are either despised by the Horde playerbase or have had their characters ruined in bfa.
Sylvanus is:
A. our most powerful character we have left
B. the last original faction leader we have left
C. one of the most interesting characters we have left.
If you wanted Gallywix and Baine, the hordeplayer base would support that as those two are despised (there are petitions to replace gallywix, and Baine has been despised since WC3), but nobody is asking for them to be killed. Lorthemar (and blood elves in general) has barely been in wow since introduced in BC. Saurfang is now Sadfang, Rexxar has turned into a senile old man in bfa, Voss is just crazy in a stupid way (“reeee its the alliance fault that i hated myself reeeeeee”), darkspear trolls have been deleted basically.
Its hard to give the Alliance Slyvanus and Nathanos because…we wont have anything left without them, as sad as that statement is. As much as i hate what they have done with sylvanus in bfa, and as annoying as Nathanos is, they are perhaps the only characters left that have any sort of character development.

So only the alliance should have a roster of interesting and powerful characters? The horde should have nothing? I dont know if She should get a free pass but blizzard never bothered to develop the horde and now we are down to a skeleton crew of characters we hate.
Even thrall is a contentious issue as the horde playerbase has despised what blizzard did to him.
I mean, who is going to lead the Forsaken? There isnt anyone left, and nobody on the Horde wants Calia. We already have two races without a proper leader

How do you then propose to satisfy the Alliance storyline given the wretched start to the entire thing? Sylvanas and Nathanos are the ones behind it all.
They already tried the patsy deal with Rastakhan and the Zandalari.
They have already demolished any real attempt at having a fake Sylvanas running the show.
Maybe she has been mind-controlled by the Val’kyr? Would anyone buy that?
At this point the best chance of keeping them would be to put them through one hellish humiliation conga at the hands of the Alliance. Something that would be seen as worse than death.
Of course people would then say their characters had been ruined.
A total retcon with an shameless pandering apology at Blizzcon from the writiers/devs might be the mutually satisfying conclusion to this x-pac…

This. So much this. All of this is Blizz’s fault. They have not planned well at all with the Horde’s characters and given how long this Sylvanas arc has been in the works they should of had things in place long before now.

Honestly? there is no way for a mutually beneficial ending. Like none. If sylvanus dies, the Horde gets screwed over and probably ruined for the rest of time. If she doesnt die, its another “draenor is free” and alliance dont get any closure.
Lets be honest here, in the BEST case scenario, only half of the playerbase is going to be happy. Realistically though maybe more like 20%.

I mean, wow has been out for how many years? they have had plenty of opportunity to give us new interesting characters (without immediately killing them off). If blizzard has never bothered to develop the Horde in a decade, why should we expect them to suddenly give us 10 years of development in one expansion?

People hated some of them LONG before BFA
And people hated sylvanas since warcraft 3, you actually think alliance players like everyone in the alliance?
she never WAS but she is now by virtue of being the last man/woman standing
I mean, there is a reason why classic vanilla looks like paradise for a horde player because…we actually had a faction.
