Out of curiosity which dagger spec is best for PVE ? For all you sweet trolls cant wait to see the “neither” comments : )
Mutilate. Potentially proccing poisons with both daggers per attack, your DPS doesn’t suffer nearly as badly if you need to not attack the mob (especially if adrenaline rush is up), lots more combo points, more damage per CP generator (i.e. mutilate). Plus it’s a lot more fun in PvP.

swords are far superior but if you HAVE to play daggers either one will do. Combat daggers might be more consistent since you have combat potency just make sure your OH dagger is as fast as possible.
Does Combat Daggers work better with Windfury or Firetongue Totem?
I’d say go Mutilate. If you’re going combat, you may as well go swords. Mutilate is great for burst damage. The increased chance for your poisons to not resist is amazing on boss fights.
From what I’ve heard though, Mutilate is only good for phase one and phase 2, after that, combat swords is doing ~500 more DPS and mutilate is left far far behind. It also benefits less from WF because your Mh dagger stabs are doing half as much DPS as a sword would.
Full assassin is a pointless build in this game. Combat is the way to go for raiding no matter what weapons you use. You do not want to give up combat potency, adrenaline rush, and expertise (2.5% dodge penetration).
