I did! And Leatrix Plus was able to help me.
The only placed I noticed that is the innkeeper near the flight master. I stepped away to get a drink, and when I came back my first thought was “what are these NPC’s doing, and should they be doing it in public?”
Totally agree. I sell my junk to the guy down the steps to avoid this blithering idiot.
Ahh…yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
One of the gnome deaths is funny too. I don’t know if players can make that sound, but some leper gnome NPC’s in tanks do. boom Ahhhhhhhhhhhh crash
EDIT: I’m not sure if they’re still in game, but the human NPC’s in the tunnels leading down to the Deadmines. They used to have this peon-type sound, that made it sound like you were beating up Homer Simpson when they died.
I found that starting with Shadowlands I am much happier muting ALL dialog. Don’t know what it is but SOOO many annoying characters.
Mine started with Shadowlands. All those whiney jokers in Bastion.
It’s quite a mystery to me. Blizz is one of the biggest game companies in the world, they absolutely know what they’re doing. So does annoying players with trivial nuisances increase subscriber retention or something? There must be some benefit we’re not seeing, some reason for the madness.
I play with 100% of game sounds and music muted. I’d rather listen to Pandora.
How is this an issue? Are you sitting in the inn all day to purposefully annoy
yourself? I actually enjoy the noises. The town seems more alive.
I find it very odd that this is an issue for anyone.
I honestly like the casual ambient sounds coming from NPCs. It’d be fun if we had a rotation of NPCs that are active each patch that could have alternating bits of dialogue, or just more voice acting in general.
They’re just trying to build a rich and deep game world, I think. And that apparently involves putting 50x more annoying sounds on NPCs
If this is true, I’ve got a killer remix playlist on youtube of dwarves moaning and yawning you should check out.
Is the op trolling? I truly can’t tell.
I mean, you’re the one standing in place to aggravate yourself so you can come here and complain about a non-issue that will never be changed.
Do you I suppose.
You play with the sound on?
sets hearth
bombarded with earthen man bustin a nut
never hearths again
I see you read the title, but not the post. I gave players a way to mute the earthen in dornogal, if they choose to do so. I understand blizzard will never stop being blizzard. And it is an issue for some people, so try to have some respect.
Take your own advice, champ. Bye Felicia.
I understand the extended maintenance has made people cranky, maybe even childish. Perhaps you could use a nap.
I like the sound effects as it makes the area seem more alive, but I also do not hang around and listen to it for any extended period of time.
