Freshly returned after 5 years away, the music will not turn off. I’ve unchecked everything I can find, the slider is at 0 and still the music is on and unbearably loud.
Are you using any other applications that can play music while playing? Even listening to YouTube while playing? Otherwise, if you’ve ruled out everything on your end, then you’ll need to submit a bug report within the bug report forums or via In-Game so it can be investigated.
EDIT: Also, try doing a User Interface reset as well incase of addons causing the problem.

Is it the log in screen music? I’ve had two instances opened before withiut realizing and the background one would be blaring the log in music.

I did that once, had a brainfart and tried to log in again while I was already in game. AFK, went to the bathroom, came back, and tried to log in again. Took me a second to figure out why I was hearing the music twice.
