I’ve just fired up WOW Cataclysm again, have been away from WOW for just over a year.
Ive noticed that multiple LVL40+ characters have ALL lost their riding skills and I have no known mounts (actually, 1 - a Warlock mount). Some of the characters still had one of the mount buttons on their action bars, but no ability to call it and no skill to use it with!
Ive raised a ticket ( * US101550794) but thus far have a generic copy/paste response to restore an item via the handy item restore page - clearly doesnt fit the bill here (oh, and I DID have a look at said handy page, no items available to be recovered for any characters).
Any tips on how I might attempt to recover the missing skills & mounts?
FWIW - Its a completely fresh install, on top of a freshly installed OS. UI Reset was performed, to no avail of course.

Unfortunately, Cynestine, I don’t know if there is anything that Customer Support would be able to do here. It does seem pretty strange, but it seems something that is better suited for our QA team to investigate.
I’m poking around to see what I can find, but be sure to submit a bug report as well.
Hope you get your stuff back. I lost 75- 80 percent of guild bank (had for 15 years) inventory back in Aug. After blizzard did update. I’am still watting for a reply, not (it’s resovled). to get it back. Good Luck. P.S. lol they did leave me with 1 windwool bandaid. Hope someone out there can help you.
Thanks Vrakthris, submitted a Bug Report also… Its certainly a very odd thing!
I’ll see if I can shock it back to life by re-buying the skill and purchasing a mount or some such on one of the affected characters and see how it behaves.
