The bots in Bastion have been working 24/7 and ruining the economy for months. It is clear the that the measures taken are either too slow or ineffective. Players multiboxing will have little to no impact on the economy, to be honest, I am not even interested in farming with multiboxing, I just want to try to do some content on my own.
Of course it wasn’t. Blizzard needed to make the player base angry and rabid so they used multiboxing as a scape goat to shift attention from their ineptitude to solve the botting problem… and now legit multiboxers are the ire of every forum goer (with some exceptions).
Just let me enjoy myself man, I don’t mean hard to no one.
Honest question here, what are the botters accomplishing? Is it still to sell gold? I thought that mostly dried up with the token.
How do you think people pay 2.2 million for +15 dungeon master achievement or CN last two bosses boost?
Because the only way to earn gold is through buying it.
/s
It is not, but most people “who buy boosts” do, you are delusional if you deny how many people are buying gold.
Not denying that people buy gold? Those who do get banned, along with the sellers.
So it’s not gold selling botters it’s just players Botting for themselves to buy carries. I guess I just automatically assumed botter meant someone doing it for profit and not personal advancement.
Not really
No that is not what I meant. Bots farm gold, sell it to people usually who wants to buy boosts, then boosters sell the gold back to players to sell more boosts.
Within all these, the argument that multiboxing was ruining wow economy is really not valid. Just go to Bastion, you will see bots and even bots with multiboxing, only the legit multiboxers was stopped with the regulation. Botters don’t care, they just get new account, leave them to farm until they get banned anyway.
you people can’t be serious. the multiboxing WAS a huge issue. Botting is ALSO an issue. I went from seeing them everyday to 0. Haven’t seen even one since SL and it’s amazing.
What didn’t you see from SL day one? Multiboxers or bots? You can’t be serious, I guess you didn’t spend much time out of Oribos.
I have yet to see any multiboxers. Seen some botters. Very few though. The most I have seen are still in Zuldazar.
Just go to southern part of Bastion.
They did not say that multiboxing was the issue. Having multiple accounts is still legal. It is only input broadcasting software that has changed. That should affect bots much more than it does multiboxers. From what I have heard, there are other ways to multibox.
We’ve examined the use of third-party input broadcasting software, which allows a single keystroke or action to be automatically mirrored to multiple game clients, and we’ve seen an increasingly negative impact to the game as this software is used to support botting and automated gameplay.
Oh my god, no one liked multiboxers and Blizzard did something about it. Move on.
Without the software it is too hard for a regular joe like me.
There might be some research you can do to see if there is anything to help.
