Multiboxing thread that I am looking for a blue response

Yesterday you announced the changes to multiboxing and the input broadcasting whether it’s software or hardware . That part was easy to understand. The difficult part is the STREAMLINE in anyway. Now my fellow multiboxers have opened up tickets with gms and have gotten different responses from each gm so that is a waste of time. What I am asking from you is please to leave a detailed response to this. To streamline multi-boxing in any way means so much. Opening 2 windows at the same time = streamlining, using hover over to activate windows (windows 10 feature) = streamlining. Obviously using programs such as joe multi boxer or wow open box will fall into this category . The round robin functions these programs provide = streamlining or at least I think it does.

Now on the actual battlenet site it states Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our End User License Agreement followed by the new rule. Now the streamlining part reallyyyyy just confuses the heck out of me because that can be so many definitions its crazy. Now basically what I wanna know is there anyway possible to even multibox anymore. I’m just gonna write out some options here.

1: Using any programs to open and resize windows to look clean and nice or do you want each window opened manually through the battlenet client individually with the borders?
2: Using hover over to activate windows from windows 10?
3: Any form of round robin function which cycles through each client as you press the key. 1 key 1 action per client which is offered through joe multiboxer or wow open box.

I really am just looking for some clarification on this situation. Perhaps why don’t you guys clearly state what multiboxers can do now. You say people can have multiple accounts and write some crazy lingo. I know if i walk around with my team on auto follow i will be targeted immediately . If you guys are truly ok with multiboxing why don’t you just add something to the ui that puts the windows in place for the user. If you really want to fully end multiboxing just break auto follow and fully kill it.

Going forward I would like to also know my options for my accounts. Can all my accounts be consolidated into one account and add all my game time into one account? I have been playing this game from early vanilla and have only gotten into multiboxing in bfa plus classic. I know the wow community mostly dislikes us but I am asking you guys nicely not to be rude and do your usual forum antics. Thank you

Couple of things:

I doubt you’ll get a blue response here. I’m not sure how you would get that information, so this is more for discussion between players.

Second, if you want to ask about consolidating characters, that would likely be better in Customer Support or asking them directly, since again you won’t get a response here. And my guess is that game time will likely not be consolidated.

General Discussion is more discussion between players, and it isn’t really a direct line to Blizzard.

I also opened the same thread in customer support but i figured i try to put it in general discussion also. Doesn’t hurt to try

Given the blues haven’t responded to really any threads on General for a very long time and most of their communications have been advertisements, I respect your wistful thinking, haha.

I think your thread in the CS forums got hidden.

All good questions OP.

They dont know, or care. They just want to pump out something to take away from all the negative press bring thrown their way atm.

Someone at Blizzard must of got wacked by a multiboxer.

There is already another post in the CS forums that has been answered. It’s literally at the top of the page.

Maybe it’s time for multi boxers to just stop. Obviously Blizzard is giving you every opportunity to not get actioned.

asking in the title for a blue response will get the thread removed.

Could

Using the words “Blizzard,” “Blue,” or any community team members’ names in a thread topic is frowned upon.
Everyone would like Blizzard to read and acknowledge his or her post, and we understand that; however, use of such words in the subject line does not help that come to pass. Please make your thread title relevant to the post subject. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion.

considering OPs post is going to be flagged to hell…

“Will” is perfectly acceptable.

blues dont respond here anymore. blizzard fired all the community managers.

Except they didn’t.

I honestly wouldn’t try anymore, you guys argued about your work around with hardware and look where that got you now.

At this point, any arguments to continue this behavior is just gonna be met with it’s against the spirit of the game, which blizzard clearly views as disruptive. Enough so to close any loopholes you find.

Having multiple accounts is allowed, but now it’s gonna be a true alt tab experience to do whatever you do with alts.

oh yeah? when was the last time you saw a blue post? been over a year for me.

They aren’t going to give explicit details since it will turn into everyone trying to rules lawyer. If in doubt, at all, don’t do it.

How about playing the game, legitimately, and not having to use special programs/hardware to gain an unfair advantage over those who do?

Look I get it, not wanted to have to go to each node, manually, click and then repeat, is tiresome for sure. But, multiboxers aren’t using special things to avoid this monotonous task and improve their QoL while gaming, no, it’s one of lazy greed pure and simple.
