Multiboxing should be bannable

Yeah, I see them from time to time while gathering in Naz but no where near as frequently as people love to cry about them.

Broadcast isn’t the same as copy

Do you copy every TV show you watch? Or is that TV show broadcast to you?

so, given that blizzard has provided feedback saying that MBers are ok and these threads keep showing up, does that mean we can justifiably report these posts as spam everytime they pop up?

It is clearly a case of corporate greed over integrity.

Multiboxing is CLEARLY against the TOS as it is “using automation to gain an advantage” over normal play. HOWEVER, as others pointed out, they make Blizzard money.

This is a case of Blizzard not enforcing it’s own policies, to the detriment of their player base that plays the game for fun not as an alternative to burger flipping, because they think nobody will notice and they can squeeze some extra quarterly statement out of these impoverished Chinese gold farmers.

Stay classy, capitalism.

OP was reported by a multiboxers 40 accounts so his post was hidden.

I love this logic. Blizzard does ban waves that gets rid of hundreds or thousands of people using actual bot programs, win trading and other exploits. This costs them hundreds of thousands of dollars to ban these people.

But yet! They keep around the less than 1% of the population because of “greed.”

he even gets one shot by a multi boxer on the forums pvp is clearly NOT his thing

I see no reason why you can’t scroll up and read about why it isn’t a problem. Big old bowl of “not my problem”, chief.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Just like the OP.

Explain to us how 0.1% of the entire wow population 10 capping herb nodes floods the market of herbs.

Go ahead. I’ll wait.

A tiny amount of money in the grand scheme of things. And they have made rules against other things, even if it does “cost them money”, like advertising in group finder.

They could easily make back more than whatever they lose out from multiboxers by releasing a cute pet in the store.

Blizzard has very clearly stated that multiboxing is not automation.

And again, it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with “making them money”. That’s a tired old conspiracy theory that needs to be buried and never seen again.

The vast majority of the people on this thread have never EVER even seen an actual multiboxers in game.

If they are affecting your lives’ so much then I will name a few that I know personally, all raid boxers. One even brought over $14,000 into the game singlehandedly with all his micro transactions that he did. And I was once told by a GM who was talking about it that I also singlehandedly brought in more money to the game than the average guild does over its entire exitance and I did that in one year. So from the ones I know Creamy, Illi, Soujahanks, Pinskull, Sham Force, I know ALL of them personally. Not a single one of them has effected you or anyone that you know personally. Not a single one of them EVER pushed someone out of their MMR. I had to buy a minimum of two Swift Spectral Tigers every month jus to sell them in the auction hose to get gold fast enough to keep my army going. Ebay and TCG and also ALL of my toons had one as well back when they were one mount per toon.

Nonsense.

Nodes despawn after being tapped 5 times.

Nobody runs 11 toons in one harvesting team.
Six of them would be utterly useless

  • and they’d slow the team down as each one has a chance of getting stuck on an obstacle. Multibox toons won’t automatically jump themselves over tree roots so you have to stop, work out which team member is stuck, fix it and get the team synchronized again.

No-one is going to pay for, and level and gear toons in, 6 extra accounts when these extras handicap the team and cannot even pick.

Let’s think about something. We frown upon people that use alts on forums for free in arguments their main is engaged in, a lot more than those who multibox in game and pay extra for it.

Yeah, it’s allowed by Blizzard, but why would people try to defend it as if it’s not unfair/weird?
