Why do people keep harping on about “third party program” as if every third party program is bad?
As long as the software does not automate anything, then it’s fine. And multibox software is fine. Because it’s a single button press that results in a single action per client window. The software doesn’t create any new commands, it simply relays them to each window.
A teensy tiny microscopic amount of money that they wouldn’t even notice overall if they banned the practice.
So, uh, ban all addons, plus all browsers and third party voice/chat programs. Can’t have people getting any economic advantage from looking up stuff online or coordinating with other players.
B: Multiboxing is not cheating since it does not violate any rules. That’s a fact and your feelings don’t come into play.
C: Multiboxing is not botting since no automation whatsoever is occurring. Try again when you have done some actual research into how multiboxing works, but I’m not going to hold my breath on that one.
And D: Because I haven’t seen it posted in a while:
Sadly, not a lot of people will back up their so called convictions with actions. It’s why games like Madden and Call of Duty are pumped out year after year with minor changes, despite all the complaints about those.
I can’t give them to much crap over it though as I am not the one to start such a movement myself. But I would join it if someone did and it picked up traction. As I did back during the Real ID thing.
You’re going to have to do a significantly better job than you’ve been doing if you want anyone to pay attention to your misinformed rambling.
That would mean banning pretty much every piece of software out there. Even Notepad could give you an economic advantage.
And where does competitive advantage end? I have a mouse with over 20 buttons on it. Should that be banned as well? How about people with more powerful computers? Let’s go full Harrison Bergeron and hammer everyone down to the same level.
I’m not defending bots. And you’d know that if you had even the slightest idea how multiboxing worked.
Right because convenient programs that show information or helpful stats or statistics Or a mouse that’s nice for keybinds meant for a individual character use is comparable to a program that can macro into 40 players stacked on top of one another zerg farming nodes and resources to effect the economy in a negative way by 1 person but multiply resources magnitude of 40 or however many the consumer uses in the 3rd party program.
All I see multiboxers for is a way to abuse or cheese things.
Ive watched multiboxers take over Storm wind several times or effect pvp in negative ways in a cheese format.
Ive watched multiboxers run around like leeches after the update to how nodes work abusing how it works Why hit 1 node with a miner when you can hit a node 40 times per accounts per node in the area. Farm farm farm inflate inflate inflate.
I’m not sure how you use or picture multiboxing but we’re obviously far from understanding the capability’s of such.
Multiboxing is far more a harmful allowable feature than most of what you’re comparing it to.
To the degree of multiple account spamming to promise your success in zerg pvp or resource inflation agreed.
To the average job that all have access to the same tools at the touch of fingers not as much. A lot of addons are a bit much but to some degree is more of a convenience than compared to a multiboxer. Is there a addon i can download that lets me mine 40 nodes with practically 1 account instantaneous?
