Im all for free speech. Complain all you want.
But just like Pathfinder aint going anywhere…neither is boxing.
Both are here to stay until that last game server is shut down.
I’ll complain about PF…but Im not naive / gullible enough to think Ion will ever allow common sense to override his ego and rid the game of it.
IF boxing were causing problems…its the same sort of thing. They dont see it as enough of an issue to change it.
Complain all you want…so will I…just dont expect anything to come of it.

welcome to the list…

I respect Multiboxers. They’re doing the Lord’s work.

I started dabbling in multi-boxing about six weeks ago. I have to admit, it’s pretty fun being able to level myself through dungeons or using party synch because I don’t feel like questing in Battle for Azeroth.

I don’t PVP or do any high amounts of auction house. It’s just something to try for fun.

I admit, I do like it. I’ll have to get used to the hate. I had someone whisper me and told me to, “end my life”. I am glad I have thick skin.

I think it’s pretty obvious at this point in the games lifespan that it’s unlikely to change, period.

I’m sure this pleases OP to no end. So meh on the thread, kind of asking for adversity and giving the professional whining community (amateur here) a venue to scream their many grievances into the void.

Someone used like 50 alts to like the OPs post lol.

Maybe but they are all on one account.

I love farming. Its most of what I do in game. So seeing two druids in a zone where its the only zone I can get X mat from is annoying. Two druids can pick a zone clean and keep it that way.
honestly, to date, Ive not had that problem even when Ive seen Boxers farming what I am. Just a couple solo druids, though, and I just have to walk away. I know Im not getting anything.

If boxers are breaking the rules, report them. If they are griefing…well I have that same problem with jerk non boxers too.
If theyre driving down AH prices…cool…less gold I have to spend and more time for me to farm something else.

I just dont see the down side, personally.

I’m annoyed by them, not really quantifiable and I like selling gathering mats, especially since the AH update. So for purely selfish reasons I do see it

honestly, I think literally the only problem Ive ever had farming, certainly the only that was memorable enough to remember anyway…is farming ragveil in Zangarmarsh. Some days I can clean it out. Other days theres a couple druid players there who just will not go away.
Even hitting the zin nodes when Ive done it hasnt been any problem.

Ironically, I just saw a druid boxer with about half a dozen characters up in northrend fly by about two minutes ago. First time ive seen them up here, i think.

except OP is claiming it’s better for the “average player”. The prices for potions and gems are also reduced because of the flood of mats. The average player usually doesn’t have the time or means to mass produce pots and gems to the point it would make up for the reduced price of the pots and gems. Also if a lot of players were to shift crafting profs it will further reduce the price because those products would begin to be over supplied as well.

Even if the other crafting profs were more profitable, wow still doesn’t have nearly enough variety in jobs and product to try and mimic what we have going on in real life.

People who primarily relied on gathering were ones that didn’t have enough time for some of the more involved ways to make gold or they don’t have enough gold to make the required initial investment to be profitable. Fore example making alch the only way to be porfitable is to benefit from the proc for extra flasks and pots otherwise you’re likely to sell at a loss. Usually this involves mass producing which requires a decent amount of gold up front which everyone may not have.

I’m not saying you can’t make money with how things are currently cause you definitely can. My main point was that it is not in fact beneficial to the average player since they lose there simpler forms or earning gold and are now required to move to more complex methods and compete with more people there as well.

I don’t believe the average player is going out of their way to farm gold though.

I’ve never gone out of my way to farm gold and I have 50k spread across all my characters. This is from doing emissaries and M+

I don’t gather or craft, ever. I have more then enough gold to pay my repair bills and that’s really all I need it for.

Well yes, because the materials are cheaper. But the profit margins are the same. Slim as always, but the same. It’s all about mass production. So with all the bots, I can just buy mats instead of flying around searching. I can make more money crafting pots in the time it would take me to gather the mats.

“Multiboxing isn’t cheating” is correct.

Don’t expect me to like it, though. I’m getting fed up with seeing 8-man multiboxers 2x4 farming all over the place, or 10-man multiboxers nuking all zin’anthid nodes from orbit, even in war mode.

What can I say?
Dottie, the Celestial Dragon and a terrible turnip named Walnut are very popular pets right now.

I don’t know, what can you say?

I made a KILLING with jewelcrafting all thru the time I played Legion, right up till the end of the expansion.
They killed the prices in BFA nearly immediately, at least on my server. Wasnt even worth the time to finish leveling it.
