Already said one solid reason. Nothing will change my mind. Not like Blizzard is going to do something about it anyway.
Multiboxing is cheating.
Cool story, show me where it is stated as such. Opinions don’t count.
Multiboxing is cheatin
k, I see we’re at a standstill since you can only repeat the same nonsense. Have a great rest of your day.
Going to assume you mean this?
If this is the case. What rules that Acti / Bliz has in their TOS / EULA do you feel have been broken to constitute multi-boxing as cheating?
So far the only thing that I can think of that people have tried to use is that multi-boxing is automation. Which has been disproved as many times as the topic has been brought up.
Multiboxing should be banned.
Saying that it isn’t cheating is like splitting a hair.
Plain and simple.
On the bright side, I guess you could give yourself a lot of likes with all of your accounts!
Blizzard says it’s fine.
Multiboxing is on the same level as an autoclicker or an autoharvester. The only difference is you push the action for 1 character and the program tells the other characters which button you pushed and where.
Multiboxing is cheating.
But what constitutes multi-boxing as cheating? What rules are being broken?
I had high hopes with what you said here. Because I was about to reply and say. At least you didn’t go “It’s cheating!”
You keep parroting this nonsense but you refuse to show where Blizzard has stated it as such. Your opinion doesn’t define what is and isn’t cheating.
Just because it is quietly condoned atm does not make it ok. It is far past time for Blizzard Devs to take a negative stance against multiboxers, especially in PvP. It is OP and demoralizing when the other side gets carried by a multiboxer.
Its way past time for Multiboxing play to be banned. Period.
What Blizzard actually said about this very topic was, (and I’ll quote) “Money money money money money, profits. Money money money money.”
It doesn’t matter why they said it’s fine. The bottom line is it’s fine.
Multiboxing is easy to defeat in PvP.

This is where I have to disagree. There is a difference between multi-boxing and automated script botting.
When someone is botting (which is fully against the rules) they are running a script and the game plays itself with next to no real interaction from the player. Other than to reap the rewards and to check on to make sure the bot(s) are not having their script broken.
In theory with no issue, a botter can start the program and script and go do whatever else for the day and come back. The game literally plays itself.
Multi-boxing is not like that at all. The linked toons are not going to do anything unless the player tells them to do something. Unless the player engages a mob and just auto-attacks that mob. But they are still going to have to tell them to loot and move on.
BIG difference in execution of multi-0boxing and botting

Facts. This is the only reason it isn’t banned. If blizzard made their own auto-farmer and auto-clicker they wouldn’t be banned either.

Ok. So it’s ok for multiboxing if the player tells them to do something?
Well, what is cheating, exactly?
According to Oxford,
- act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination.
I’ve bolded the parts of the phrase that apply to multiboxing.
Multiboxing gives a player an advantage that most of the playerbase does not possess.
It’s not awarded by extreme skill or multitasking capabilities. It’s awarded by a program and multiple accounts.
I think that sums things up.
