They also allow an unlimited number of Blizzard accounts, so you can have way more than 8 WoW accounts.
Exactly.
My rig can only handle two at decent settings. Four games running wouldnt likely be very playable on mine.
While bliz makes it possible for us ALL to MB and even provides a way to play for free…there literally is ZERO valid argument against MBing.
Card counting is not technically against the rules but most people will tell you it’s cheating.
Simple fair, elegant solutions to gathering vs. multiboxing.
A) In Shadowlands nodes should be revamped to spawn per character phase. Everyone sees their own nodes in their own random spots. Two benefits : 1) Other players have no influence of what herbs you can gather whatsoever and 2) Each node is only usable by a single toon in a multibox squad. If they can track 5 screens worth of random spawns at once, more power to them.
B) Never again should the one herb used by every potion and flask spawn in a couple areas of a single mid-patch zone .
It actually is in most casinos. Where it would actually matter.
then it doesnt matter what those people say.
If its not against the rules of the game then it AINT cheating.
pretty simple stuff here
Not to mention in THIS case the game MAKER has stated VERBATIM that MBing is NOT againste the ToS

So we’re WAY beyond your little story there.
that is a curious remedy. Very likely would work. But it would remove the competition for resources, which I doubt blizzard would allow given that they COULD just make nodes no despawn at all, and have no cap and itd be the same unlimited mats resulting.
It’s against casino policy, it’s not actually written in the rules of the game.
That’s a strawman argument. Because yes it is. The casino’s policy is dictated by the standardized rules for each card game ( such as the world series poker)
If you allow card counting in your home games or at a smaller organization. That’s actually a house rule that removes the already established rule.
So you have it backward. Trust me. Me likey Vegas.
I suppose not. And that’s something people might want to consider when they are thinking about subscribing or continuing their subscription.
More and more the game has become a balancing act of “do I want to play more than I don’t want to put up with their garbage?..hmmm”
To be honest, it is probably so unenforceable as to be a moot point.
The main difference I see is that WoW has a built in vulnerability that they both know about and designed. And they allow its exploitation.
You don’t get the fight the dragon from under the bridge. You don’t get to do PVP from inside the walls.
But you do get to multiply your node intake by several factors because the multitap feature happens to allow it.
Since there is a way to back out of that exploit, I feel critique is in order since they seem to think no one can see them just abstain from providing the more even experience.
I, for one, would appreciate an effort toward fairness even if its perfect ideal remains understandably out of reach.
They could, but you know, greed.
ok…but Multiboxing has been DECLARED by blizzard as NOT violating the ToS.
Literally they SAID it DOESNT.
So all this deflection/distraction doesnt mean a thing.
doesn’t matter what the rules say, to these people it’s still against the rules. you have to jump off the deep end to ‘‘get it’’
yeah…stupid companies thinking that making money is important.
It would take a community reaction on the level of the flying incident to get MB banned; that’s almost guaranteed to never happen and not what I want. Most people would be satisfied by reasonable limits as to how and for what MB can be used.
That’s fair.
I concede your point. It’s not fair to the other farmers who don’t MB.
This is not me jumping on the “lets ban MB” bandwagon, but, yea, I think that’s a perfectly reasonable…err… reason to be upset.
I don’t think they should be spamming threads about it. We can’t change things and it just gets on people’s nerves, but it gives me something to do while working, so I don’t really mind it either.
Its pretty obvious what mindset this all stems from.
I just dont want to get into politics in here, lol

You seem to misunderstand your place in this game.
You know, the one that Blizzard owns and allows you to pay to access it.
Whether or not I agree with the OP aside, this particular statement is weak.
You seem to have nestled into a “mother knows best” security blanket. We allow them to stay in business by paying them monthly. It’s nothing new for people to make requests or demands. A considerable number of changes take place due to community feedback.
Blizzard knows many people will continue to play the game if they don’t get everything they want, and they will often times say “we’ve heard you, but we’re doing it this way for reason A, B or C.” They also know they have to give some ground or there will be nobody left to make the game for.
I’m not a fan of “because I said so” in any regard. I don’t even use it with my kids because it was never a satisfactory answer when I was growing up.
What does greed even mean anymore?
Question: What is the maximum amount of profit a company is supposed to make?.
Question 2: What is the minimum amount of profit a company is supposed to make?.
That was in regards to the definition of cheating, not a dig at MB.
