Nothing is stopping you from running your 5 accounts. You’re just not allowed to automate key-presses on the other 4 accounts. It’s really that simple. They don’t want people automating gameplay. It’s been that way for years. I’m surprised it took them this long to deal with it.

Also, the last bit of “I pay more so I should be able to do more” is bull. You pay the same amount as any other player. You bought the game and pay $15 per month, per account, just like everyone else. Playing 5 accounts doesn’t mean you pay more than other people, it means you pay the same amount 5x over.

you may not be personally abusing the software in a negative manner effecting the game but other people are

Well, there’s entitlement in its purest form.

I suspect that is part of where those 100 million accounts went!

Two types of people post about WoW, trolls and multiboxers.
I may never know where this thread goes, apparently Blizzard rations /likes, and I am out for 22 hours!

THen you are part of the problem.

Game was not made for this type of player/ person. Get a life!

I still multi-box, or triple box. It’s still very productive for gathering herbs and ores. Alt-ESC and tabbing is super fast and easy for me to do.

Using key replication was and is bad for the game as a whole. I stand by Blizzard for no longer allowing that.

I like that I still get to multi-box, but I have to click on every thing I do… which is how it should be.

I agree, that type of multiboxing takes skill.

Just a casualty of war basically everyone else that multiboxes ruins the game for alot of other players to the point where blizzard has seen the need for a change. Sure you dont do those things but most multiboxers do i for one have a personal gripe with the ones that siphoned up all the herbs constantly in Nazjatar making it really hard for a regular player like me to make potions with my time before raid.

Nobody knows this, people assume that hardware is OK. They have not stated that it is. People think because they are junior lawyers and have found a loophole. A one sentence clarification would be extremely helpful. It should be one keypress = one action on one character, period; anything should be TOS.

And besides, any loophole for Multiboxers is a loophole for botters.

This is correct. Blizzard has not stated that hardware is OK; they’ve simply stated that they made no announcements pertaining to it. In addition, Blizz’s TOS quite clearly states that they can yeet you for whatever reason they feel like, or no reason at all.

You do realize warden doesn’t have to detect the key presses to identify your sending 5 actions per second right? I love how these people seem to think Blizzard is technically incompetent.

multiboxing is no diferent that a group of people playing together, they can cast at the same time without consequences, not sure why blizzard want to make multiboxing harder that what need to be, this new ToS put us in disadvantage since you cant cast at the same time on your accounts or you will get banned.

Of course. You’re exactly right. Except for the words group people and together.

Multiboxing is no different than playing

yes…i do…and then I have to listen to the whining about "automation’ that isnt automation, lol…very easy to push a key to /follow

Since when do bots have to box?, lol
Ive never once seen bots packed into a group. Every single bot Ive seen…even when there were numbers of them all with similar names, they ALL were doing the same thing…but acting independently of each other.
Every boxer Ive noticed to date, was all lumped in a tight freaky looking pack doing exactly the same thing all at once.
I doubt blizzard has to severely limit boxing just to limit bots.

They will still be vacuuming up all your herbs come launch. All of them save the ones recently banned.

This change was idiotic, much like a lot of stuff they’ve done recently. Smashed the M+ multiboxing community to pieces and did nothing, nothing to stop hyperspawn farmers.

They could have issued warnings about hyperspawn farming and ban around that. They could have made changes to herb nodes. They could have done a lot of things. They did the least productive and most damaging thing financially that they could have done.

That’s typical from where I sit. Have fun complaining about the hyperspawn farmers in SL all operating on hardware. That’s a guarantee.
