Only have 1 multiboxer on my realm(that I know of) a paladin with like 12 other paladins and all I see him do is march around Dalaran spamming hammer or sit in the portal room in Stormwind spamming hammer & saluting people who RP walk past him.
Hundreds of posts from dozens of people means…nothing.

I would like to be able to gather my own profession materials.
I’m on a small server, so the auction house isn’t cheap nor feasible for flipping. But my server IS mashed up with Frostmourne when out in the world (big server), so instead of having just a few gatherers around the place, there are 3-4 roving packs of 10 druid multiboxers clearing nodes as soon as they spawn. They have a route so they always know which nodes are going to be up next.
I can’t compete with that. Nor do I get the “benefits” of cheap auction materials. I am on a pension, so I can’t afford multiple accounts to multibox on either. I would like to be able to putter around, gathering my own mats for my alts. Not to hoard gold, not to dominate the market. Just do my own thing and enjoy it.
Sure Multiboxing doesn’t violate T&C, and it’s “controlled” by players, but it is still unfair to those who can’t / won’t multibox. It doesn’t benefit everyone. Sharding means only your server benefits when you do it, and whatever server you are clearing out gets shafted.

Absurd
The best you can hope for is to get a new set of devs who don’t arbitrarily decide which forms of automation they will allow. Another group of devs might disable multiboxing software and other software such as TSM and its many automated functions as well.

first of all its not the developers that allowed it unless of course one of them actually wrote the ToS years ago
the devs have nothing to do with the legal department since they were the ones that actually created those why not send Blizzards lawyers a letter demanding changes to the EULA etc
this is NOT a dev issue players have buying and using multiple accounts and the software does NOT make their followers bots they are still being commanded by a live player and if Blizz starts punishing MBs for playing the game itll unlock a bad precedent which means they’ll be required to punish anyone for “automation” that play hunters mages warlocks and DKs who have minions that operate on their own without player commands
Stop being silly. This has nothing to do with the legal dept and they don’t need to change any terms. It’s simply a case of these devs, for whatever their reasons, choose to allow some forms of automation while disabling others, such as a simple macro to allow to me check if I have a buff or not before casting a spell. They’re the devs so they have the power to do whatever they want and they don’t have to give any rational reasons for their decisions.
That’s hilarious.

Devs are…wait for it…Developers. They are not the arbiters of the ToS or ToU. They build the game, they neither create or enforce rules.

You don’t need to use real money to multibox. It’s not really all that unfeasible for the average player to multibox if they really want to do so. It’s roughly 850k worth of tokens to buy the complete edition which includes BFA, Shadowlands, 120 boost, and 1 month of game time. Tokens are dirt cheap at around 140k so the game time easily pays itself as well. With each license you add it becomes easier to afford the next. People act like multiboxing is this massive investment of money when it’s really not. If you’re someone who does a lot of gathering then it makes no sense to not multibox provided your PC can handle it.
“only 850k” that is a LOT of gold. You expect me to make that how? Trying to go against the few people who run the AH on my small server? who can undercut me every few minutes? Or the farmable materials that are mined out by the multiboxing hoards from another server who occupy the same shard as me? If I went by raw gold farm, which I am, then I would need to spend a few hours a day getting maybe 20k gold max? so 43 days of only farming gold? For ONE multibox?

It’s nearly impossible to farm any nodes now. I used to be self sufficient for farming. But now i can’t even farm a good amount anymore. Before if i farmed for a half hour i might farm like 130-170 Zinathid and then take a break while it replenished. If i fight for a half hour i might snag like 47 Zin’Athid and every node is depleted perceptually. It’s ridicolous. They’re depleting every node and the changes instead of personal nodes make it impossible to compete as a non boxer or farm my own mats when they’re all depleted being perceptually farmed 24/7 even in the dead of night.
The only remorse i can get is i can kill them in warmode but then i get stacks of 5 multibox pallys chain stunning me and 20 stacks of sunbeam on me and can’t do jack crap with half my abilities unless their code is broken. In which case, don’t kill all of them, kill all but like 2-3 and leave them desynced and then they can’t all respawn at once anymore.
