Alright, so sense its not automation, lets see you play 10 characters at once without keystroke software. Cant do it can you? If something else is doing it for you for all 9 of those other accounts, sorry, its a flavor of automation. Not outright because of the human input for one of those 10 accounts, but still a kind of automation.

You can spit and froth at the mouth all you want, blizzard (the people who make the rules) say that it’s not automation. Keyboard cloners do not play the game without your input. I know you’re not going to stop posting this stupid crap on the forums but don’t pretend like we’re the crazy ones for siding with blizzard (the people who make the rules) on what the rules are.

The same tired defense is the only defense that matters, blizzard has flat out said the programs are ok to use, no other argument against that matters unless they change their stance.

If you don’t make an argument pointing out a problem then it’ll always stay that way. It’s called a debate and not an echo chamber of silence with only a rule board. I could make a point with a real life example, but I don’t want to make this political.
You post about not liking me not liking something. I post my points of view just like you are.
This is like saying that chocolate is a flavor of vanilla.
Each of the accounts is directly under the control of the player. You press a button and each character performs a single action in response to that single button press. They don’t take any additional actions of their own at any point.

Hey, you’re free to keep giving you’re opinion, but good luck changing a 16 year stance with rather weak arguments.
If they are both flavors of ice cream then they are different flavors of ice cream, take out the flavoring and they are both just ice cream.
If I were playing any other console, I wouldn’t be able to use my controller to play both Persona 5 and The Last of Us Part 1.
If you disagree with something you’ve heard enough, then I suppose it would sound weak if you’re tuning it out.
I mean, you probably could with a splitter for your controller and two consoles.

But you can hook 1 keyboard up to 5 computers and play 5 accounts.
It’s not automation, duplication =/= automation, automation requires no user input.
If I have my lights on a timer to turn on between the hours of 6 pm and 11 pm, that’s automation.
If I use 1 switch to turn on 10 lights, that’s not automation. Programs like isboxer are that light switch. And if you want to make the argument of “one keypress, one action” better also be trying to get macros banned too.

You don’t get to change the definition of a word to suit your argument. If the speed limit is 55, you don’t get to say that anyone going over 35 is speeding because you don’t like it. Words have meanings, and the fact that your “definition” of automation is the only argument you have is why its weak, and tired, and played out, and frankly boring.

If that was the way that it was done then I believe it would reduce the amount of people able to do it and thus make it less likely these threads to pop up anymore.
If you want me to use a different word, then fine. I believe that programs that duplicate keystrokes between multiple game clients should be against the ToS.
Duplication should be against the ToS. There you go. By the way, you should quote what word in that entire post you responded to I ‘redefined’.
